I was just reading some random stuff around the net and came across some pretty decent "you know you play cod too much when" lines and thought it would be fun to start our own thread on it. Feel free to put up ones you've heard or be all creative and make up your own. Provides for a good laugh and also makes you consider what is wrong with you when you're laughing because you could see yourself doing it lol

here's a few to start off:

You know you play too much Call of Duty when....

- you hear a helicopter and run to cover and reach for your launcher
- you look for red dots on your car's GPS
- someone unexpected shows up at your house and you say "WTF, i know i set this party to invite only..."
- you hold your breath to steady your pen while writing
- the power goes out and you yell "We've been EMP'd, all our electronics are down!"
- You see someone skipping and accuse them of using a lag switch
- You look at a handgun at the store and ask how much the akimbo attachment costs
- you open your laptop and say "predator missile inbound"
- you see a road flare and crouch down next to it waiting for that noob to respawn...
- you run up and lay at the bottom of a flag pole while yelling "securing bravo!"
- you bring a headset to work so you can hear people's footsteps
- you've put serious thought into putting a red dot sight on your drill

You see a flag on someones car at the commissary and you run over to dominate it while throwing your apples and oranges hoping to blow up anyone who try's to dominate it before you.

Bad thing is, I did this a couple times...once while driving! And I almost yelled out "hostile sighted" and aimed at a random guy who came out of the bushes across the parking lot.

Your correct. If I have a bad night, I lay in bed thinking to myself of the, "I could of done this, or I should have done that" ways to win a match.

If you testify in court to mass murder based strategecally on MW3 and SOMEHOW World of Warcraft...
Norwegian anti-Islamic fanatic Anders Behring Breivik told a court on Thursday that he used computer games to prepare for his attacks, once spending an entire year isolated from society playing a game for hours on end.
Breivik, on trial for massacring 77 people last July, said he spent "lots of time" playing Modern Warfare, a first-person shooting game, and also took an entire year off to play World of Warcraft, a multi-player role-playing game with more than 10 million subscribers.
"I don't really like those games but it is good if you want to simulate for training purposes," Breivik said as he discussed Modern Warfare, smiling when asked about the aiming system.
Breivik killed eight people with a car bomb in Oslo on July 22 and then killed 69, mostly teenagers, at a Labour Party summer youth camp on Utoeya island, in a gun massacre.
Although he pleaded not guilty, he admitted the killings, saying his victims were traitors who supported immigration and multiculturalism, threatening Norwegian ethnic purity.
Breivik, who once played Modern Warfare 17-hours straight on New Year's Eve 2010/2011, said he used such games to simulate the police response and the best escape strategy.
"I calculated the likelihood of surviving unharmed at less than 5 percent," he told the court in his third day of testimony, referring to the bomb attack on government headquarters, when he expected to be swarmed by police officers.
"I trained myself to get out of such a situation. That is what I was simulating."
When he acquired the weapons for the actual attacks, he turned to Norse mythology in naming them.
"The rifle I called Gungnir, which is the name of the magical spear of Odin, which returns after you have thrown it. And the Glock I called Mjoelnir...It is the warrior god Thor's Hammer," he said, adding that he marked the weapons with their names in runes.
While playing computer games, Breivik said, he withdrew from his friends, saying personal relationships were not a priority.
In 2006, he moved in with his mother to save money and rarely interrupted his game of World of Warcraft, even though his mother became anxious.
"Of course I couldn't tell her I was going to take a sabbatical because I am going to blow myself up in five years' time."
"During that year I played perhaps 16 hours a day. Only playing for an entire year -- playing and sleeping, playing and sleeping....It was a dream I had, and I wanted to do this."
Thomas Hylland Eriksen, a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, said such computer games could put Breivik in a state of delusion.
"When he went out on Utoeya, possibly at some level still believing he was still paying a computer game and shooting people in real life," Eriksen told Reuters away from the court proceedings.
"He does not seem to be very successful at distinguishing between the virtual reality of world of Warcraft and other computer games and reality," he said.
Breivik's trial, set to last 10 weeks, turns on the question of his sanity and thus whether he can be jailed. He has said that an insanity ruling would be "worse than death".
One court-appointed team of psychiatrists concluded he was psychotic, while a second team found him to be of sound mind.
On Wednesday he said he should either be executed or acquitted, calling the prospect of a prison sentence "pathetic".
Breivik has insisted he is a commander in a resistance movement but has acknowledged some of his claims were an exaggeration. He spent much of Wednesday defending the claim that it existed at all.
In court, he has Breivik struggled to defend his claim of being ordained into a militant-nationalist group called the Knights Templar in London in 2002 after preliminary contact in 2001, refusing to answer over 100 questions on the topic.

Ok, so for the past few days (and this is before I found out yesterday) I wondered why my left middle finger has lost some sensation and has numb feeling on the side of it. Well, after playing the OP yesterday I noticed that my left middle finder had acquired a bit of pain and this was due to the amount of time I spent playing BOP's. This may sound funny but by holding the controller and applying pressure to keep my controller still, I have now lost some feeling in it. I can feel some things such as pocking it with my finger nail but if I rub my finger with my other finger, I can barely feel it.

I'm still going to continue playing video games but damn it I'm mad that I don't have full feeling anymore lol. I can honestly say that I'm addicted to playing BOP's. Where did going outside and having fun doing outdoor things go?

When you've stopped playing for awhile, watch a movie and your thumbs start to twitch like your holding a controller. Or even when your watching someone else play. *personal experiences

I deal with this shit everyday! Most of the time I'm fighting the internet more than I'm playing. That's why you keep seeing my GamerTag pop up every minute. "Oh MACs on, oh no he's not, oh he's on, oh no he's not, oh wait... what's going on here?" :aconfused:

You know you have been play a game to long when

You start playing a new game and sit watching the screen for over 10 minutes in limbo - because the start screen was not what your mind expected and had you on hold till you realized that it is a new game with a different start screen after loading.

You know you game to much when you have TWO alarm clocks.

One to tell you it is bed time and the other to wake you up.

True - when I was still working I had to buy the second alarm clock after the 3rd time my alarm went off telling me it was time to go to work.

I had just played ALL NIGHT, AGAIN :ohwell:!

I had an alarm on my phone for a while to remind me to go to sleep. I'd get wrapped up in a game and realize it was 3-4 and I had to wake up for work in an hour.

You look around your house at the best places to hold off zombies

You see items on the floor and wonder if you can make a better zombie killin weapon with them

You play other shooters and feel the need to add the intro words ("Kill confirmed" "domination")

You have to flip your couch cushion over during a game session because you've worn your ass into it.

You are walking in the supermarket and refer to people that get into your way as noobs.

You think that every time you hold your breath it should be an audible sucking noise.

You think cracking noises from a fall are normal and you'll feel better in a few seconds.

You look for everyone's "mute" button.

you know you play Call of Duty too much when you
-blame your speech impediment, stutter on lagg
-look at tall buildings on the roof looking for a sniper
-refuse to go "camping" with your family because you think its bad
-your baby's first words are UAV airborne
- you've actually try to put c4 on a remote control car
don't worry about where I'm sending this from, just know I CAN SEE YOU...

Just had this happen to me again.

Your gaming buddies tell you that you are on the phone and you are interrupting the game .

and

You are talking on the phone and your finger is twitching as there is no keyboard nearby so you can press the hot key whenever you speak.

I normally don't do posts back to back -- BUT -- this is too good not to post.

Today for lunch I thought I would boil some new potatoes.

New Potatoes take a long time on the boil so I put them in a large pan and put the range on low and went back to the game.

after a while :heh: -- there was this strange smell ------- I had forgotten about the potatoes which were now VERY WELL DONE :p

Note to self -- must use alarm clock when cooking --:redface::redface:

Pulling up to a drive through for morning coffee and shouting XBOX ON!
Hearing cricket noises from the outside deck and mistaking that sound as a hidden loot chest. (I spent at least 10 minutes trying to find the "hidden" loot chest.)
