see that's mainly why i was asking, because I thought i heard something about Gearbox being able to detect mods and dropping the ban hammer. thought I read it on this site actually, something about not playing with randoms because if they have a modded profile they somehow leave a taint on your profile as well and had led to some unjust banning. that was ages ago though, perhaps it was debunked or resolved
Well I know that the developers have a detection system that searches for "Super-Lag" or slow down, but only the type caused by modded gear. They can ping your game and mark you for the Banhammer. But anyone who has used modded gear knows not to use laggy weapons. The profile infections were resolved I believe. I think that's why some players, myself included, turned their game on to find altered stats and attributes recently. Just a guess.

What kind of sick gear did you get? Havent played bl2 since bops 2 came out....but I'm almost to prestige master....
TONS. Got a couple shields with over 1 mil cap. Various SMGs with sick damage, nuke pistols, a shotgun that fires corrosive drones that then fire acid in a 360 degree spread, dual elemental infinity guns....and other shit I haven't played with yet

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more Tapatalk.
Someone gave me some modded stuff but it has to be kept in bank when you switch characters or go to menu screen so it's kind of a pain since I will forget and just log off. Does your mod stuff do the same?

Yea mines the same way. I had a sick Commando mod that added Amp damage to all my weapons, but my game froze and I lost it. :(

If you follow/like Gearbox software on Twitter/Facebook they post Shift codes for golden keys all the time for XBox/PC/PS. Also they have a code out right now for valentine skins and a shotgun from Moxxie. The code expires on the 17th of Feb.

Yeah that was SteelHavok's job for like a solid 2 weeks lol... after everyone had like 25 golden keys it kinda dwindled down.

There's an XP exploit. If you have someone kill a bandit on repeat you can nab about 3-4k xp. Took me an hour to get Zero to 31.

Talking about the fleshstick xp exploit? I heard they patched that a while back. Best way I find to power level is dragging your low level character along to the final areas of 2nd playthrough with a high level character. Hide the noob in a corner so he doesn't get torn apart and soak up the shared xp. Granted that needs a high level character in the first place but some one online can assist with the first one and the rest can be done via splitscreen

Ah hell lol nvm then. Well than Max is totally correct here. If you have to do it straight up might as well partner up. The more people you have with you the harder it is but you should get more xp.

They patched Terramorphous too, that mother is actually a little bit of a challenge now. They buffed his health and spam extra tentacles...me and Pilot still whooped his ass 3-4 times last night though. Lol

Pilot, if you are looking for adequate (non-modded) gear for a lower level... I have a few 'pack-mule' characters with stuff from level 6-50. If you need it add me on live (BigFreeze99), I'll be happy to help out in that aspect. I am hoping to get with the BL2 gurus here and get some amped up stuff.
I haven't done playthrough 2 yet, I'm holding out until Gearbox increases the cap.
I did solo at Lynchwood as soon as I could get there.... took a few hours but got mucho points up to about level 25.

I just found out the joy of the infinity pistol+ evil smasher it just makes me feel warm n fuzzy shooting a hail of bullets at bandits it is so much fun especially when they explode into chunks of flesh lol and I have to figure out just how to operate my turret and death trap properly

The next DLC pack for Borderlands 2 will add a sixth playable character, according to a teaser trailer debuted at SXSW Interactive minutes ago.
The panel, led by Gearbox's Jonathan Hemingway and Matthew Armstrong, ended with a tease at the future of Borderlands 2, including a gory, silhouetted trailer showing a massive figure crushing enemies with a flurry of violent melee attacks.
"Deep beneath Pandora, an experiment has escaped," the trailer exclaimed. "Bandits beware, a new Vault Hunter is coming. More mayhem awaits."
The possibility of a new melee character lines up with scant details dropped by Hemingway and Armstrong, who lamented Borderlands 2's lack of a melee character — like the original Borderlands' pugilist, Brick. They also said they liked the stacking mechanics introduced by the last character added to the game, the Mechromancer, but didn't confirm whether or not this mechanic would make an appearance with the new character.

Each year, around this time, the Zaford clan takes a break from their war with the Hodunk bandit family to celebrate their good fortune and honor those that have passed on, such as that time Scooter buried their son alive in a shallow grave.
During this time, those who play Borderlands 2 while connected to the internet will see a temporary increase in the drop rates and rarity of shields! Plus, Absorb shields will have a better chance to absorb enemy bullets and Booster shields will have a higher chance of dropping a shield Booster when damaged.

Yea I had heard we console players won't get a cap increase because its too huge, it'll break the game for us. We'll see I guess

It could be because they have to wait till the new xbox and playstation but I see no reason for no level increase for PC as the hardware is more advanced in many cases especially hardware coming out this year

I hope this is the final word on the 2 April impovements to BL2... highlights: modest increases in back pack and bank space. More eridium purchase and amounts that can be carried. Skill and level increases... here's the link.
