So yesterday I tried to get my brother setup on the forum. He is now a registered user and can access the site. When he went to apply to USMG it wouldn't let him. He went in and clicked the Apply Here in big letters and was directed to a screen saying he didn't have enough credentials to access it. I went a head and did the same but didn't have any troubles. His user name is Mattyboomboom. How do go about getting him signed up. I already can verify him as I live with him but first I need to get him to submit an app but as I said before, he can't.

That happens when someone doesn't verify their account through email. Sometimes it gets sent to spam folders etc. You can manually change it in the admin section which isn't the preferred method but it can be done. When you go to their profile at the top it will saying "awaiting email verification" where his primary group is listed and you just change it to registered user. He's good to go now though. Glad to have baby Rob on board!

Can I verify emails or does someone else have that role

The individual registering verifies their own account, it's the last step to registering. You can manually change their group but not verify the actual email.

The reason it's not the best way is because it eliminates the verification that they are using a valid email and that individual could be a poser etc. Not so in this case of course but in one where an individual isn't known.
