That was awesome!!!! Lol.
Ok I confess I played AD&D with the same group of guys for over 10 years. We met 1-2 times a week and took turns bringing the beer and weed. We made crock pots of chili using whatever leftover meat we had from the week (we ate anything)
Then I became a responsible adult. Got a govt job, had kids and left it all behind me.
Good times, good times. And yes we all still keep in touch.

Beer? Weed? I'm shocked!!!

Pretty much. And a closed in room like a basement so none of the smoke escapes. The higher you were the more badass the adventure seemed and the dumber the party decisions were. "We can take that black dragon!!! I'll backstab with my lvl 4 thief"
The group fights over treasure were epic until someone got the brilliant idea to roll the 20 sider for turns at picking from the list
Me, my brother and another. Friend took turns DMing different Realms. Mine was Ravenloft.

I have never played D&D, I was always the kid who played endless hours of NFS or NASCAR.

LOL no ive only smoked twice and i was blacked out both times, thats why i dont drink vodka anymore.
I played d&d in the army, we had 2 bodybuilders 3 air defense nerdy guys, they were command cronies, but ok. And a few others. We had a husband and wife hosting our weekly event til when he was DM(dungeon master) her long used character died. Almost came to divorce haha.
I remember being on a train headed to Bosnia in 95. Long story why. And a few of us were in the same car, so we played for a few days on the ride down. Slow trains no we stopped so many times.
Great times, but like near the end I was designing computerized character sheets, map layouts and even trying one of those dice rolling programs. Took away from the colored dice sets, I had all red smoky dice and a few black for the special roles.
When in high school I played ampgar, which is now called lair. Yeah hid that from my football team haha. I thought about doing it again, but after role models, yeah I'm past that haha. Taste the beast!
Hello I am Robert and I am an ultra gaming nerd. Thank you, refreshments are in the back of the room.

That's so funny. I did design a computerized character sheet (one for each class) and we printed them on diff color paper. I also had the Crown Royal bag filled with dice of which I only had a select few lucky ones I ever used. I still have all my D&D stuff. 1st & 2nd edition. I even have issue 1 of Dragon Magazine (or was that Dungeon?)
