Astrophysicist Calculates Weight of Thor's Hammer

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an astrophysicist, who has appeared on "The Universe," "Nova ScienceNow," countless talk shows, and was voted "Sexiest Astrophysicist Alive" by People magazine in 2000. But his greatest strength is to apply his knowledge to pop-culture in order to get more people interested in science. This is why he has over a million Twitter followers.
He recently was asked to approximate how much Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, would really weigh. He replied: "If Thor's hammer is made of neutron-star matter, implied by legend, then it weighs as much as a herd of 300-billion elephants."
After some quick math, it turns out that 300 billion elephants is actually 4.5 quadrillion (4,500,000,000,000,000) pounds. That may be the reason why The Hulk had so much trouble with it in "The Avengers." Then again, it looks like Tyson didn't consider that it may only be heavy when an "unworthy" person lifts it. But in Thor's hands, it goes something like this:
