View Full Version : New Risk version inbound

Some game chatter of a different kind. A new version of Risk will be available later this fall, patterned after Mass Effect. Entitled the "Galaxy at War" edition, it's not the first video game to get the board game experience...but it's defnitely one of the most apt.

I'm a fan of Risk, and play it occassionally with friends, so I'm pretty excited to see this one.

Cool, but my favorite Risk edition is probably the Lord of the Rings one.

I never saw that one. I just had to google it. :) Looks interesting as well.

It's really good. War of the Ring mode is awesome, or you can play traditional mode, which is still good.

I was able to pick up the classic version with wood blocks old school at Barnes & Noble for 1/4 off due to the box being ripped a little, this game is great to teach kids tactics,

Oh yeah...game takes forever but it's a blast. We always play it on new year's because that's the only time we can get people to sit down for 8+ hours.

When I played, we did weekend runs. Start after school/after work, and no one is allowed near the table unless we're playing. Was lots of fun.
