the past month or so I have been having issues with my XBox reading Black Ops 2. The game rarely comes out cause all my other games are downloaded. I turn it on and every other time it wont read the disc. it works fine on others, I found no blemishes on it and sometimes if I eject and close it works and sometimes I have to restart. my girlfriend said she put a movie in and it acted up once too,

Does this sound like any particular issue with my unit or is it the disc only.

Could be the eye that reads the disc's. Dirty or it might be going to shit

I dont stick in a regular cleaner disc do I?

Good question. I know with CD players and dvd players you do. I wouldn't see any reason why you couldn't with your 360

I had the same problem exactly. I would just keep taking a disc out and put it back in repeatedly til it worked. Either clean the laser and hope it works, buy a new laser which is reasonably cheap. I used it as an excuse to buy a new 250gb lol.

I got the star wars one last year cause the 2nd gen one I was still was on got slow. I cant even remember where I put it lol. I know I loaned out one of mine to one of our guys but cant remember who

not really that bad, stick a cleaning disc in, and blow in the tray.

It didn't work for me is why i say that. It may hopefully just be dirty.

OK new issue with my Xbox so I reused the thread lol

the menu seems slow, you know the quick pop up when someone logs in, that slowly opens like laggish. gaming seems quick and normal but the xbox home menues and pop ups are slow.

Can someone tell me what they think about it.

Yeah start your game up with your profile logging in but remaining offline. Then manually login to live.

I just have a password required to sign in to live, and it won't login to live on startup.

I do the same, more for security purposes than lag, since I lost my account before.

Mine has been doing the same for awhile. I just contributed it to how much data I have on the hard drive. It can take up to a minute to load but haven't had any issues gaming.

ok since BF4 this has gotten even worse. Its not just bf4 I cant connect at times, I was mid game just now and it just dc's from xbox live, I am on the internet so its not that, I cant even get both xboxs in a game together in minecraft anymore, its not my router, I know that cause I have had it for 5 months and it works fine and ps4 and other xbox are fine.

I am afraid it could be hard drive or corrupt xbox os in some way. Any ideas?

I am on the track of conspiracy to make me buy the new xbox but I wont...yet


oh and my hard drive is only 1/3 full

ok since BF4 this has gotten even worse. If it doesn't allow you to connect it could be the wireless component of the XBOX. I would try to hard connect an ethernet cable directly to the XBOX and see if that works. If not it could be your security settings. My WPA2 connection made it hard to stay connected at times. So I downgraded to WPA and it works fine now. It could be a number of things haha.

my son's 360 and ps3 are on wireless and work fine, my star wars 360 is wired only. I got back on factory defaulting the network settings which were in auto mode anyways. I may have to send it in for repair, at least I have 2
