Marine Barracks, Washington DC 8th and I, Bravo Company Replaced during inauguration?

So apparently word on the street is that during the inauguration, Marines from Bravo Company Marine Barracks Wash DC were replaced, with some random company, had there bolts on there rifles removed, and had some of the sloppiest Drill to date. I couldn't find the original video but found this one below, idk what to think. I doubt the unit was actually replaced with randoms but yet these are the men who Drill 7 days a week 365 days a year. I mean some have 5 o clock shadow, and look like they're uniforms havent been inspected, belts not centered or crooked, just all around sloppy drill. I've seen JROTC drill teams drill better than this. Kinda Strange. What do you all think?

I don't know about the conspiracy theories with the bolts...but that's got to be the worst D&C in the military, period. If these are supposed to be the epitamy of Marine drill, all I have to say is they should probably get some fresh graduates to replace them. That's above and beyond pathetic.

A crappy performance for sure, but I don't know if I buy in to the conspiracy that they were not Marines. I knew a few that were assigned as Presidential Guard and to 8th & I. I spent time in HQMC in the 70's when it was in Arlington, so I have seen the sunset parades almost weekly. I was also a guard for President Carter in 1980 and screened for HMX-1 after the first Gulf War. With that said, I think they may be Marines. As far as the bolts not in the weapons.... that is obvious by the video. I know (from a good friend of mine) that during the Clinton years, Hillary hated the Marine Guards and did not want their "hideous" uniforms around the
White House... The Marines took subtle revenge on occasions.....

No way did the security detail handling the inauguration replace the 8 & I, purchase 50 some Enlisted and Officer uniforms, and put people off the street in them to drill at the inaug. Sometimes conspiracy theorists lack common sense. Which is ashame since some of the shit they say actually makes good points but they're too crazy and extreme to ever demand change. But what baffles me is this is in no way a D&C unit. Which begs the question who are these guys and why did the 8th & I get swapped out. Only thing I can think of reasonably is that possibly the 8th & I refused to drill with out the bolts in there rifles. Out of history and customs. Other than that I can not think of why they would be replaced. But it's no doubt obvious this is not the 8th & I.

Reading on another forum one of the marines that was in that parade said that the metro pd was running the whole show security wise and wanted the rifles demilitarized and there was complete refusal about that so they agreed on just the bolt being removed. It's funny too, I can remember the parade during Obama's last inauguration, No bullet proof glass, Marine's not disarmed, seriously wtf happened in 4 years. I mean Pres. Obama even walked freely. I mean come one this is the shit that goes on in 3rd world countries.. The commander in chief doesn't even trust the men who fight for him, and at the least a D&C unit. What are the Marines in HMX-1 disarmed too? Btw the performance by 8th & I during the last inaug was the best D&C that I've seen to date. Flabbergasted on every level, from horrible drill, belts not centered, covers on crooked, pant's not fitted saggin on the ground, bolts removed.
