as you may have noticed, this is a series reboot complete with a redesigned Lara Croft (noticed her infamous chest and huge pouty lips have been drastically reduced? lol )

It's been just a little less than a year since we last talked about this game. Looks like it will be a bit longer before we play it.


Tomb Raider Reboot Delayed Into 2013

Yet another highly anticipated game slips into a 2013 release: Crystal Dynamic's Tomb Raider reboot. Studio head Darrell Gallagher broke the news to fans in a post on the Eidos forums (via Gamasutra), revealing that the previously planned fall 2012 release would slip back a few months to Q1 2013.

Gallagher points to a desire on Crystal Dynamic's part to deliver "the best game of our careers," adding that the extra months will "allow us to put the finishing touches into the game and polish it to a level that you deserve." Tomb Raider will still make an appearance at E3 2012. The delay comes on heels of another high-profile delay; Irrational Games' Ken Levine revealed last week that BioShock Infinite now isn't coming until February 2013.

Anyone get the opportunity to play this yet? I am loving it! A lot of action, puzzle type environments and a pretty stellar graphics. The only thing I've noticed is that Lara Croft is put in more life and death predicaments than any other character in any game I've ever played lol... I'd give it an 8/10 so far.

I think I'm about 4-5 hrs in. It's still good so far. Can't help but feel some eerie shit is on the horizon

I didn't notice Lara is a bit of a pansy in this one for being a badass you think she would have a different kinda persona.

It's a reboot so this is more supposed to be the story of how she came to be a badass isn't it? Her trial by fire if you will

That would make more sense. It seems like I'm kinda getting in the middle of a story but I figured as much. I thought for sure that she would be a little grittier though.

Agreed. I'm playing on hard and it's still a little easy. If the puzzle were harder I would o gave it a 10/10. I'm around 90% with almost every thing found. I got to the last camp fire where it tells you that "after this camp Lara can not fast travel anymore" and went back to find the things I missed.

Just beat the game. Definitely legit I would recommend anyone picking it up. It's story is long enough to justify buying it. I will be getting the next installment if they decide to make it.

I'm just about done myself and really enjoyed it... I'd definitely try the next installment
