I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone posting something about this game lol.

Well here goes:

I'm new I know, but if you folks have this game (it's amazing) and wanna make a region let me know. I'm wanting to start up my own region because there's just too many regions with too many abandoned cities, and I wanna make a region that flows nice and smooth like soy sauce over steamed rice and stir fried veggies.

I was definitely interested and looking forward to it but the always online DRM is going to make it nearly impossible for me to play until I get a new job and actually have an internet connection on a regular basis. Plus the blunder of a launch has left me feeling confident that waiting a while to get this game was a good choice. One day though

I've waited to get the game itself and glad i waited. I am planning on one weekend make a community event where we all get on Vent or TS3 and play nothing but Sim City. If this sounds good to yall let me know and we can either use a region already created or create a new one.

Sounds good to me. I'm up for it - Friday SimCity marathon lol! It's a great game, so long as you have a group to play with (or you don't mind playing by yourself).

I enjoy the game, just hate when servers crash and are unavailable during gameplay it doesn't save the stuff u did :/

Is it really as bad and the complaints are making it out to be? I read something about the calculations for people are off, so the only way to make a good city is a main "snaking" road?

From my first playthrough i really enjoyed it alot. Yea i cant connect to the US Servers becuz they are full, but the server i am on, i enjoyed building my first city. Its really enjoyable.

Origin sent out free game vouchers for people that bought SimCity. I don't know how far they backdated it, but I got a free game, as did most of the people that bought the game via digital download.

I got to choose between like 7 titles. . .BF3, Sim City 4, Medal of Honor: Warfigher (which is what I got), Mass Effect 3 and some others. I mean, the titles were kinda old, but still it's a free game:) Nice to see they at least gave us a little compensation. EA cares!!! lol who woulda thought

You have to register ur sim city copy by 25th of march per email. I took ME3.. But did like that they offered dead space 3 pretty sweet deal for those who didn't have it already...

I don't think you can not like PC games because they were the first to introduce DRM. They were the first to introduce DRM because they were in a position to have DRM put on them. The publishers who make PC games make console games too, and would have put DRM on console games too if they could/if PC ones had worked.

Lol true but drm is removed by pirates since most of the time the drm program gets installed on your computer with out your knowledge :(

Once we get enough people for a good flowing region (I believe we have 3 or 4 now), I wanna get a livestream or something going on like a friday night.

It's a good game, but it's hard to have the FULL amount of fun unless you're with a good group of people. That way you don't have to worry about all the city problems. One person can deal with tourism, one can deal with gambling, one with imports/exports etc. It makes everything so much smoother.

I got a free game out if it but I bought the special edition with the extra packs of stuff so maybe it was a little better for me. But I mean, once you get the hang of the game, you could literally play all day and not be satisfied until you got to play more. Price is a little high perhaps, but still fun^_^

Probably. RTS/Simulation games don't drop as fast as FPS games, probably because there's not as many of them.

That and PC prices don't drop like console prices do and for example when mw2 came out and was out for a year cod4 was still 49$ bucks and didn't take till mw3 to drop to 39$ I hate PC games you have to have quite abit of money for it including upgrading the hardware every year to play the newest games just don't have the money anymore after 11years

No EA cares about bad press and their bottom line...but glad to see they compensated those affected
