Here at USMG we have constantly pushed for the type of environment that is second to none. Now I know what we have preached in the past is about family and having a good time but this community is much more than your average group. I came to USMG in the winter of 2011 on a whim after a friend suggested I check it out. Since my induction into membership status, which I was very eager to reach full-member status, I have encountered a lot of life’s hardships. Many members here constantly are battling inner demons or they are fighting for their place in a world that doesn’t quite understand what returning veterans deal with, not to mention the hardships of relationships and family. Since I have been a member I have gone from 5-6 hours of gaming a day to having my son, I’ve gone from marriage to debating divorce to understanding that I’m a selfish ass and now my family is much better off. I have PCSed since being a member, I have done the TDY gig a couple times, I have gone to school, and even better I re-enlisted. I have gone from being a member of the community to being allowed to partake in the responsibilities of being a Staff member. Since that has happened I have thought of USMG as my second family, not that it gave me some special right but the fact that they thought of me as an individual to rely on and help better the community. Lastly, I had the chance of running ELITE which I condone the job that Brian has done, it is no easy task.
This is not about bragging or anything of that nature, I have seriously LIVED through USMG and with it I have grown as a better person. Through each and every member of the community I have learned something about another veteran, a strong willed group of people with grit and some amazing civilians whose unwavering support is so unreal we wouldn’t be anything without them. I have gained friends that I know I will carry with me to the grave as cheesy as it sounds. It’s ironic how close we are without even knowing many of the members at all.
I just wanted to take a step back and reflect, thank you all for your support, pledge to you all that I will continue to do my best for the community and treat all of you with the respect I would treat any family member with. It truly is, “About the Gamer Next to You!”

Your gonna make me cry. Which makes my old knees hurt. Lol

Dude you hit it on the head. I joined as I started a relationship with my girlfriend. And she said this community is a part of me.

Yeah if it wasn't for here when I got disgusted with OMC I wouldn't be in a clan or would be not gaming at all....perish that thought.

Yeah I tried other clans even tried making my own for MW3 and it was terrible. It's amazing how many people put so much into this community and there is always someone to play and chat with when I don't feel like playing solo.

I've been here since day one (not bragging, just stating a fact), and I can honestly say that this community has only gotten better along the way. Sure, we've had our share of peaks and valleys, but in the end you can bet your bottom dollar that you'll find several brothers and sisters in this community who will have your back no matter what. And I say that speaking from first-hand experience.

I've been with USMG for a while (since July 2010 I think). I joined off an ad I saw in a BF2 Forum. It is amazing how much the community has grown and changed over the years. I'm very glad I was a part of it and honored to serve as a staff member. You all are part of my extended family. Your antics have made me laugh and your heartbreaks have made me cry. I would have it no other way.

Well said man, I left here temporarily to join a community where I met my ex and they jumped in to tear me down the first chance they got. I know I have made mistakes and probably pissed some people off so I apologise for that but you guys have been great friends to me and that means allot. Im hoping during the summer I can get back into gaming with you guys again, its been too damn long.

Jared, I truly agree with everything you stated and am very happy you cherish this community like some of us older members do. Im not THAT old of a member but I feel like I've been here forever! I knew bringing you in was a good move, and I'm very pleased at how you've grown in our community. Keep up the hard work, its definitely appreciated!
