Semper-Fi, Brother.
Seems the med centers have strength geographically. In NC the med centers suck for service, (Fayetteville is always an exercise in futility, Durham and Asheville seem to be stronger). I further suggest seeking out a VSO (Veterans Support Organization), such as the DAV, VFW, Am Legion, FRA, Am Vets,..., they have non-paid (by the VA) service officers. They also have offices at the VA med centers and you do NOT have to be a member of their org.

You need too... I differ from indyred99, in that seek out a good VSO and talk to a Service officer. You can get the info for your local organizations vie their websites. Call before you go, to ensure you have the paperwork they need to see...

Darn, I am slipping and should have posted this before... I know there is a duplicate thread in the Scuttlebutt section for Vets info, but I hate to bother BULL (yep I said...errrr typed that...lol) to keep posting there. Actually Rat runs that.......
Here's a good link to have and if you don't have web access you can pick up a FREE copy at the local VA office or hospital. I carry one with me when I do service work (Veteran's Advocacy) along with a copy of the US Constitution. I feel it is that important. The VA is always a year behind on this publication so the current version is 2012.

I agree with you River_Rat, It should be locked.... I've already hijacked a few threads myself to insert some humor (funny to me anyway). However, the Vet information should stay away from anything other than that topic.
Being a Service Officer, I come across new info daily and feel the need to post it immediately to get the word out. In fact I should move this to the public forums for wider disemenation.

Yes this came out I think 3 years ago... I deal with it frequently. Unfortunately, most of these dealings are with the widows, placing claims for DIC. These are all presumptive illnesses.
I am waiting and watching the Persian Gulf Vets getting screwed... Their, presuptive illnesses won't be completely out for another 20 or so years (by VA standards).

hey in case it's not posted, sorry I kinda am scrambling between laptop, kid, kitchen and back to laptop right now. :frusty:. But if you're a veteran of OEF/OIF and you have yet to visit the VA, they actually have an office for vets of OEF/OIF and so far from the one here in Buffalo the people are awesome. They walked me through every step I needed to make a claim about my knee, how to make sure my GI bill was set up properly and put me in touch with the right people to start my college education. Though after that the paper work side of things is BEYOND a hassle...definitely keep on top of ANY claims you have going on as they will try and push your paper work to the back of the pile if they can

Good info Lou,
You had the good fortune there in Buffalo. Some Veteran Service Officers are good and some not so much. I mentioned this before. On most (if not all) college and community college campus' there is a VA Representative. They will care take your GI Bill benefits.
As a reminder............... I want to reiterate this... YOU DO NOT HAVE TO JOIN a Veteran's Group to get couselling for benefits, no matter the period or conflicts that you may or may not have been involved in. Once again it is like the VA paid employees. Some are good, some suck.
If you do have your benefits or claims handled by a third party, look for the VA Form 21-22. This will tell you who is representing you. If you don't have a group representing you, your paperwork speaks for itself. When you involve a NVSO (National Veteran's Service Organization), their representative prepare and are you advocates to the VA on your ratings. If you have hired a lawyer... good luck. My opinion and experience with the lawyers for Veterans is much like hiring one for Social Security benefits. You pay a percentage of your claim, so there is no hurry for them to expedite the claim <-- MY OPINION/EXPERIENCE

Hey freeze I just got my letter from the marine Corps about what I'm covered for the drinking water at J-ville. Called the VA and the will start another claim next month, guy said since I'm not suffering any of the cancers and other shitty stuff it will take 2 yrs to get seen to start the process of following me for these disease states. You were there at the same time have you started yours? Just wondering if I'm getting the VA two step?

Toby,
You got the 'two step' comment correct. If you recieved the letter you are probaly registered with the ATSDR (Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry). If not.....REGISTER. I have not filed a claim but I am on the resistry. I didn't want to divulge this but, I am 100% disabled so I am covered for every condition, past, present and future.
The following link outlines the known (so far) illnesses associated with the exposure to the toxic water:
http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/camp-lejeune/ (http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/camp-lejeune/)
I don't know where the VA is getting a 2 year process, but as you will see on the website you can submit a claim for any condition you feel is related to the exposure. The claim may come back denied or pending... but you will have a record of the claim. I deal with this all the time and it is reminiscent of the 'Agent Orange' fiasco. Maybe in 30 years from now 'they' will admit other conditions.
I hate to disparage (not really) the VA but, as I stated in previous posts, it is a gamble getting a VA representative to compentently handle any claim process.
My suggestion is to see a Veterans Service Organization and have them become your advocate. These are the DAV, VFW, MOPH, Am Vets, Am Legion... just to name a few. You DO NOT have to be a member of these orgs to have them represent you and it is FREE....
I tell my clients "if you want to sue your neighbor, why would you seek advice from the neighbor's wife?" "if you are making a claim against the VA, why go to the VA to have them represent you?" Get a NVSO (National Veteran Service Organization) advocate.

Hopefully, this won't be the VA's equivalent to road construction crews... You know, 12 guys block off a lane of traffic, to fix the road. I hope it doesn't go that way either, the size of the hire is significant but where are they going, how are they being distributed to where they are needed. My brother works in the VA so I get some of the inside dirt, I just hope that those who need the help get access to the care they need

Thanks for the offer Ghost.... I am pissed because it is robbing our Veterans who have served in the Gulf War and will definitely break those ties to the current conflict. Just another government scandal but, it is one that will NOT get the headlines it needs to be an issue. For those that know....

Content: Concerning electronic filing of claims.... FDC (Fully Developed Claims) is the major topic line. I would caution those that would sacrifice representation for speed on this... If you would like more advice ask...
There is reference to the ebenefits site, which I would encourage Vets to join (https://www.ebenefits.va.gov/ebenefits-portal/ebenefits.portal ) . It is just another tool in the box.

Not everything is ‘fun and games’. I know that is a bad statement to make here in a freaking gaming forum.
BUT…. There are two things that I worry about on an hourly basis…. (Usually because I am faced with this in that amount of time). The first thing is the government taking our Veteran’s Benefits away or cutting them, the other thing is our Active Duty and Veterans not taking these Benefits seriously. So, I suppose, we are complicit in the first action.
If you don’t read my posts or open some of these links… It is your loss, but I will keep posting this shit as long as ‘smoke’ lets me.

I found this on American Military University's Facebook page today. Hopefully some of you can use it.
American Military University (https://www.facebook.com/AmericanMilitaryUniversity?ref=stream&hc_location=stream)Veterans, LinkedIn is offering a free upgrade to current and former members of the armed forces! If you're using LinkedIn for your job search then you're eligible for a free, five year upgraded service. This gives you an unrestricted view of profiles and lets you see a list of who has viewed yours. Easy instructions are in the link below.
While you're at it, check out our webcast, Land an Interview by Using LinkedIn: http://onlinecareertips.com/2013/06/getting-the-interview-with-linkedin/
Here's the article the Facebook post takes you to:
Today I received a direct Email from Alison Dorsey, Social Impact Manager at LinkedIn, asking me to share that due to the overwhelming response from my August 1st, 2013 post reporting the premier career and professional networking website had been offering a unique gratis offering free membership for Military and Veterans, LinkedIn, SIMPLIFIED the offering of 12 months of their “Job Seeker” level membership FREE for Military and Veterans alike.
LinkedIn has responded to the various conversations and group threads depicting individual frustrations and critiques of the previous initiation process with a NEW and STREAMLINED offer!
LinkedIn asks that if you desire this, in my words; generous and supportive offer, all that the Military member/ Veteran must do is join their ” Veteran Mentor Network“
: HERE
Upon joining this specific group, the Military member/Veteran will AUTOMATICALLY be enrolled for 12 months in the “Job Seekers” level of membership.
I understand this to mean; that no longer will a credit card be required to activate membership. Yet, LinkedIn still asks to have your Military service clearly denoted in your LinkedIn profile.

Subject RE: LinkedIn Veteran Job Seeker Upgrade
One more clarification, It’s actually a 1 year job seeker subscription, not 5 year. I apologize for the confusion around our veteran promotion. While some accounts were processed as 5 year subscriptions in the past, they should have been 1 year subscriptions and will be only 1 year subscriptions in the future. Our hope is that the veterans using these subscriptions as job seekers can find a job within the year and not need the service for additional time. If they are still out of work and in need of the subscription after a year though, they can definitely request it again.

Just a public service announcement for our Veteran's Advocates geeks: The NOD and I/U VA forms have recently changed. I checked them but can't see the difference at first glance. (NOD= Notice Of Disagreement, I/U= Individual Un-employability).
On another point the Air Force is changing its PFT standards. You have extended time to eat you Tea and Crumpets.
Seriously, the 'belly measurement' will not automatically fail you on the PFT. So stop sucking it in...

If you receive the VFW magazine, I would point out an important article (or series of articles) starting on page 12, Gulf War Illness Update.
The VFW has not published this edition to their website yet, but if you are concerned it is a worthy read. This site may help from the ewwww VA.
http://www.publichealth.va.gov/index.asp.
They are also changing the term 'Gulf War Illness' to 'Chronic Multisymptom Illness' (CMI). It has been found that those that served in theatre in the 90' and those serving today are now having the same illness problems.
My editorial comment: I am still pissed that those effected must still enter the Gulf War registry and have a physical performed before the VA will accept the Veteran's illnesses as related to being deployed in the SWA AOR. The VA needs to open up the complete list of Presumptive Illnesses (as they did for the Vietnam Vets). Then just proof of being in this area of operation should be justification enough to receive the benefits.
I have more to say but I could write a novel just on this travesty.

This is turning quickly into a shame. It breaks my heart to see out brothers and sisters who have served faithfully put out on the streets. Everytime I see a homeless vet I take them to get food and something to drink. Our brothers and sisters deserve so much better than what the politicians in DC are giving them. "End rant"

IRS is now in conflict with the American Legion. But, reading the article you will see that they (IRS) is saying all Veterans groups are required to keep a copy of their DD-214 on all Veterans that join.
This new requirement seems to be a bit intrusive. If you are considering or already a member of a VSO (Veteran Service Organization) keep an eye on this news item.

I will refrain from my personal stories that I have faced but I encourage anyone that has a few minutes read the article. Keep in mind, no matter all the words thrown together in any article, every situation is as unique, as we are. The stats on those lost are staggering. http://www.military.com/daily-news/2013/09/19/elite-army-units-to-stop-taking-anti-malarial-drug.html?comp=700001075741&rank=2
Sketchy news about the anti-malaria drug given to the Military. I took this many times. Of course you know it will take the DOD, VA, and any other freaky government agency to admit this shit was bad. Sometimes the prevention is worse than the disease. I would still like to know the non-FDA approved drugs they gave us for prevention to serin gas exposure. Mefloquine <-- if you see this in your med records... make a copy before someone removes it. Paranoid? Sure I am, must be all the Mefloquine I took over the years....lol

Here's a public service announcement and a reiteration of multiple posts by multiple sources.
Obtaining records (SRB, Medical, Awards, Training), I have seen others and I have even posted a few different sources for an individual to gain these items.
With the new emphasis on modernizing, an Active duty or Veteran member can have access to their records.
I encourage any concerned to enroll at the www.ebenefits.gov (http://www.ebenefits.gov). I got all my records in 2 days. Many other bells and whistles on this site too.
Just another tool in the box for you 'do it yourselfers'.

Shutdown adds to Appeals in Veterans Claims.
http://www.military.com/daily-news/2013/10/03/shutdown-adding-to-vet-appeals-backlog.html?comp=700001075741&rank=2
I opine: The appellate process for Veterans claims can take up to 5 years (and normally do) without the shutdown. So to say the shutdown is causing a delay is bull-shit. There are other articles out there pointing out the shutdown is causing initial claims to go unattended and to be delayed. More BULL. The VA has recently partnered with the DAV and American Legion to cut the backlog of ALL claims. That in itself is a bit dangerous ( too long to explain), but is an absolute plus for the Veterans. The DAV and American Legion are NOT government funded so the shutdown does not affect their ability to rate compensation cases.
Just more political rhetoric that will be carried on the front pages and featured stories by our LEFT leaning press.
Be informed...

Government doom and gloom during the 'Shut-down'.
1. VA is not taking a stand on the affects of the shutdown... that is publicly they are not. Someone should see the emails or hear the phone calls... ala IRS. But that would just encourage another Congressional Committee with a lot of 5th Amendment Rights being invoked.
http://www.military.com/daily-news/2013/10/04/va-mum-on-bill-that-offered-shutdown-protection.html?comp=700001075741&rank=1 (http://www.military.com/daily-news/2013/10/04/va-mum-on-bill-that-offered-shutdown-protection.html?comp=700001075741&rank=1)
2. TAD/TDY orders affected (suggested) to professional schools and other duites.

3. Ohio Feds line up or unemployment and meals... I wonder if this will cause a domino effect elsewhere.
http://www.military.com/daily-news/2013/10/04/thousands-of-federal-workers-file-for-unemployment.html?comp=700001075741&rank=2 (http://www.military.com/daily-news/2013/10/04/thousands-of-federal-workers-file-for-unemployment.html?comp=700001075741&rank=2)
4. Just for the entertainment value. This is what I have to read while doing claims and research while performing my advocacy duties.

OFR is publishing documents in the daily Federal Register that are directly related to the performance of governmental functions necessary to address imminent threats to the safety of human life or protection of property. Now the Shutdown/Sequestration stuff with a little PC Police action.
I could post the article, but in short the Marine Corps has warned if the Shutdown continues the Marine Corps Marathon will be cancelled this year.
The below article, is concerning the USMC's efforts to curb irresponsible drinking. Mike's commentary: I don't like the term 'Old Corps' when used to belittle those currently in uniform. So I am not disparaging anyone here in my comments. Us Marines used to be known to 'out drink, out swear, and out fight' anyone. Yes, don't tell me that is debatable, I know it is. But, with the PC Police monitoring the legacy passed on by the 'Old Corps' we can't swear, or fight, and now we can't drink. I can see this year's Marine Corps Ball. Sitting at table drinking our grapefruit juice out of a recyclable Dixie cup. Eating our soy burgers (thanks PETA). Smoking our e-cigarettes (cigar version). And when speaking, no vulgar slang will be used (the IRS and NSA will be listening). I am not promoting bad behavior, just watching some traditions die.....

A couple of links concerning Veteran claims.
If you feel you don't need the money... think of who you leave behind that might. If you think you are saving the Government money to give to those more deserving... that is just an excuse to have the Government allot less for the next Veteran. Don't make the excuse that it is too much work to make a claim... because you already did the work during the days you served. If you don't know... ask. If you don't ask... read.

http://www.va.gov/explore/ (http://www.va.gov/explore/)
I suggest you don't go it alone. Have someone that knows the system, the situations, and has walked the same path as you.
Tough times are coming, Ladies and Gentlemen. I would hate to see more posts in the Scuttlebutt forum saying how our benefits are being attacked, but I know I will.

Homeless info from the VA press releases.
http://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=2492 (http://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=2492) <- These grants are a nightmare 24-36 pages long, with plenty of narrative to write. If you are representing a group that is interested, check your local college for a 'grant writer' it will save you some time and headaches.
http://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=2493 (http://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=2493) <- This is the SSVF program. I already see the pockets being lined in our area. Seems the VA/Government played favorites when it comes to these funds. A ton of money going to make the administrators rich, not so much for the cause they herald. The theory is great the execution sucks... so far.

I will pause the thread to honor a friend and a coworker. I was confronted with this as I opened the paper yesterday. I was not going to post anything, because I prefer to be private in many of my dealings. The article does not give justice or accurate information for Matt.
The DAV Chapter that I work at has only 5 CSO (Chapter Service Officers). We are a close group and hurting for this loss. Matt was our guy on Mondays, I am the guy on Thursdays. Mondays will have a far different feeling for me. Thanks Matt, we will carry on Brother.

** Now the back story on this bulletin, from a personal perspective. I receive this link in my email twice a month. From who and where?
Lt. James “EMO” Tichacek, USN (Ret) through the US Embassy in the Philippines. He lives in Baguio. I periodically correspond with him and am happy to report he weathered the Typhoon well enough to keep me/us informed.
I haven't heard from my contacts in Olongapo or Angeles city yet..... Mike
Has anyone here ever received a VA disability rating from shoulder surgery? I have multiple issues but just had another shoulder surgery and thought I would ask some fellow USMG. This was my second surgery on my shoulder this year and fourth total surgery this year. The first shoulder surgery was for a severely torn labrum and they moved my bicep tendon. This was done in January and didn't fix the problem. So on 15 November they went back in to clean up some pretty bad bone spurs and they found some more fraying. They cleaned it all up but said even though there was fraying nothing was torn. They were also unable to locate my bicep tendon. It apparently broke loose and disappeared........ I'm just looking for some insight from others who have endured the process. My other issues are hip surgery for a torn labrum and to shave down the femur and pelvis. Also I have chronic back pain from flying in Huey's. Its looking like the Air Force is going to show me the door in the next year or two due to these medical issues. This would put me at 14-15 years in. Any feedback is helpful thanks.

One, make copies of your medical records. Two, before the Air Farce looks to boot you, see your Retired Affairs Officer (they are not just for retirees) on base.
Three, make sure your current problems are well documented in you records. Finally, never feel that what the VA gives you is final (that is where idiots like me come in).
I know the Air Farces' decision to retain you is out of your hands at times, that is where your Retired Affairs Officer may be able to help.

Here are a couple of news briefs for today. Both hit me personally.
I had the unique pleasure of meeting some of the "Code Talkers" some years ago. I was in a Communications Battalion and three of the Code Talkers were visiting Camp Lejeune and wanted to see the guy that wrote the MOS Manual for the USMC concerning alternative means of communications (signal light, wig-wag, semaphore, tap code, hand and arm signals, air panels, Morse code...). I thought my work (yeah I am that 'guy') was unnoticed. Although, the code talking and my programs of instruction bore few resemblances, the tactics were similar. What a great thrill and honor to sit and talk with these guys. Of the many awards our Presidents give that are politically motivated, I feel that these guys deserved this, and it is long over due.
http://www.veteransresources.org/2013/11/native-american-tribes-whose-members-served-code-talkers-honored-congressional-gold-medals/#.Uo396ZqA0dU (http://www.veteransresources.org/2013/11/native-american-tribes-whose-members-served-code-talkers-honored-congressional-gold-medals/#.Uo396ZqA0dU)
On another personal note. I visit the Veterans cemetery periodically and leave mementos for the dozens of friends I know that reside there. None are ever removed (as they are supposed to by law) except by the families that see some of these items. Now the government is looking at relaxing the rules a bit.

Here are the teasers for the above bulletin.
1. Closings, cuts, closing and cuts. More on the Government budget and how it will effect/affect YOU.
2. If you had a VA ID card issued since 2004, there is an article and warning listed within.....
3. Very disturbing news from Charity Watch concerning the Wounded Warrior Project. This is not surprising to me. I have screamed about this and other so called 'We Help the Vets' groups.
4. There is a new (new to me) site listed in here for financial assistance to Veterans.... This may be of interest to the MODS here on this site.... (yes I am fishing here... let's see if I get some bites).
5. JOBS INFORMATION.... Some on the forums have asked about this... almost every 15 days this bulletin has the latest and greatest.
6. Homeless Vets update...
7. The 2014 SERVE Act information is given an overview....

I post up the jobs reports all the time... Just not a separate thread... I will try to highlight them better. Look for the RAO Bulletin and other links.

Here is a link I posted a few times in this thread. I will continue to keep 'JOBS' notifications a priority. I will also necromance some areas of the thread to bring back other tools.
This web address has plenty of advertisement on it, but some great links that are useful. Click the top link on the right side for the Veterans Job Fair dates. These tend to be a favorite.

Yup. I was told that certain VA benefits will become null and void if I am selected for involuntary separation and I haven't applied for things. For example if I apply for giving my dependents my G.I. Bill after being notified that I am eligible for this program and I do get involuntarily separated I lose my service committment contract and my G.I. Bill reverts back to just for me. It's a giant clusterfuck IMO but whatever lol...

I will have to check on this.
I know with my Bill (apples and oranges) I could still transfer my benefits to my spouse. I do know, that no matter the type of discharge (besides the Dishonorable type) the Bill usage does change. I am sure with the re-shaping, draw down, force reduction, or whatever they are calling it, there hasn't been too much thought or written regulations on the matter. I am booked up today, I hope to get on it before my contacts in D.C. go home for the day.

No links here for these items.
- NCOA and DAV sign a MOA (Memorandum Of Agreement) to service Veterans. Basically, the NCOA will now refer Veterans to the DAV for assistance with service and claims. The NCOA will no longer associate itself as a VSO.
- NAUS is fighting the current cuts (outlined in the new Defense Budget) to Veterans COLA, Combat Pay, and low pay raises.
- Local/State VA Medical Facilities are doing away with the 'clothing allowance'. A memo was sent from the Gods in DC to cut this... I am mad.
Sorry no links for the above announcements, this is some recent and old word I have been entrusted with from my associates on 'K' street.

Here is the latest for the Camp Lejeune drinking water, the first study found causality between birth defects and the drinking water. Please pass on to any one that was stationed there.
http://ih.constantcontact.com/fs124/1111870609753/img/1.jpg
Dear Sir or Ma'am:
On December 4, 2013 the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry's (ATSDR) "Evaluation of exposure to contaminated drinking water and specific birth defects and childhood cancers at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina: a case--control study" was published (http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/sites/lejeune/update.html (http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001EGbmspYnc2ZesJvb9HoyM8Eoh0VWa4aZY7NNKTIckQWEZvTalCj8MX2HgR-J4Wq5XdNzbSbLF3FngwwPIUTnSYJz2clurgUetRwlTNKSpKVio_zn4_KbFqkVvZU2eYdNZFvAF9 0LX3pPCWFJCkogz0OAASBoSlB4)). You will receive a hard copy of the ATSDR fact sheet summarizing the results of this study in the mail in the coming weeks.
ATSDR's study evaluated whether or not maternal exposures to drinking water containing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at Camp Lejeune increased the risk of certain health conditions. The study used ATSDR's previous water modeling efforts to estimate past exposures (http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/sites/lejeune/watermodeling.html). VOCs were commonly used as solvents for cleaning machinery and weapons, for dry cleaning, and some are found in fuels.
This study is the first of several health initiatives that ATSDR is expected to complete in the next several years. For more information about these studies, visit http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/sites/lejeune/ (http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001EGbmspYnc2ZN0JM5WSzAH_op1H9dExL9Ffa8UfCPf1rJCOCuSE4fYz_4_t8Da4H 8FDKOAPp9Lxz_zy2tiehiupWeAE_MMqA0d_uj8ttOdc5kuFwkhKsrEzZr1O3vaN4hvj26pBUYrU QpnmnmhDniCA==) or call (800) 232-4636.
Since 1991, the Marine Corps has supported the health initiatives conducted by various scientific agencies. We are also working diligently to identify and notify individuals who, in the past, may have been exposed to the chemicals in drinking water. For more information about these efforts or to update your contact information, please see: http://www.marines.mil/clwater/ (http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001EGbmspYnc2afI8bpZ5g24lxjjpwo9JVqLJuV_y9HIMduWCP7nS1kB2sJDVRu573 iwOMYjDxIkxHBQsdWowOXFEw7W42_9CmVVnOGTwUJxS2Fvjc1bHcoZNTE2E250Rq60WhGUkitxp k=), call (877) 261-9782 or e-mail clwater@usmc.mil.

Yes, this is real. It is working through the VA hospitals state by state. Don't count on it next September - October time frame, but don't ask about it either. Each states' VA Hospitals are making their own determinations. The letter actually was published (out of the eyes of the Veteran public) on 28 May this year. It was a move anticipating government cut backs (budget) and how they could cut back with the least amount of notice.

Different clothing allowance for veterans with prosthetics / devices... Supposed to cover the cost if wear and tear on your clothing.

The difference is the status.... I know I am bias here, but if you are out of the service, you are a great target for cuts. If you are in, you get the cuts but you have more advocates/politicians protecting those.
More are coming, unfortunately. I believe I warned of some of the 'Beltway knee jerking' that will eventually hit us all.

Signs of the times, in Iraq (anyone remember that place?): http://www.military.com/daily-news/2014/01/05/fallujah-falls-fully-into-hands-of-al-qaida-group.html?comp=1198882887570&rank=9 (http://www.military.com/daily-news/2014/01/05/fallujah-falls-fully-into-hands-of-al-qaida-group.html?comp=1198882887570&rank=9) This hurts. After screwing all of us older disabled Veterans everytime the government needs a penny. They should send our broken asses over there. We are too old to care. We already did everything we wanted too (bucket lists can’t compare to being in the military). And the government wouldn’t have to pay us if we die. That would be money back in their pockets. They should introduce the ‘Kick the Bucket list’ bill. <- yes this is my personal rant/opinion.

I can’t count, how many Veterans I did a claim for on a legal sheet of paper because of the necessity and expeditious need. Homeless, those on their death beds, and just those that don’t know what they are doing… beware.
