cooling for your xbox360

ok after selling all my extra crap like my tv in prep for leaving i bought a GAEMS system ..which by the way is awesome.. i had a Nyko Intercooler STS for Xbox 360 slim... work like a champ but when i put it in the Gaems system i have a hot airblow dryer in my face... so i took it off.. after i did i noticed two things.. the xbox in general was cooler and it was quieter . never noticed it.. after doing much research online.. there is no definitive answer .. does the cooler make a difference or not... does it really even need it? before i got my R2-D2 Xbox... i had a XCM (Wing) fan on my other slim.. sent that one home to my daughter since my son got the last elite one i had. it seemed to work very nice also..
what is all my xbox peeps say about their experience's and what cooler do you use??

I have never used one, I keep the area around mine clear and it and the whole area gets dusted every week. I'm too lazy, we got maid service once a week as a perk from my girlfriends work.

Never used one but I make sure that the xbox has enough good airflow all around it. No stuffing it in the corner.

And I don't let it sit on anything that moves or on e floor, vibration is killer for any machine.

I don't use one but my Xbox doesn't stay out, it comes out and sits on a open table. It gets plenty of airflow.

I've never used one with my gaems and I've never had a problem. Ever since I got a slim console it hadn't mattered.

When Xbox designed the slim making it quieter, with a larger fan for better cooling was a couple of the improvement they made for it along with WiFi of coarse. I never felt the need for a cooling fan. Just make sure the Xbox isn't smothered with other electronics, or walls like everyone else said. I also install whatever game I'm playing so I don't have to wort about damaging discs, and the console is even quieter when playing without a disc spinning in the drive.

Yeah, its amazing how not having it shoved in a tiny ass compartment with no airflow reduces overheating, lol.
