I'm ticked. I thought I was getting release day delivery and here Amazon just shipped mine today. Won't have it til Thursday. But it will be just me all weekend (no kids) so I'm gonna fiend on it when it gets here.

My only complaint is that checkpoints are pretty spread out so you need to set time aside to really get into it!

Got it at midnight last night, beat it at 3:35 pm..... Kinda short. But the story line was excellent. Definately going to review.

....3hrs? Really? That's shitty for a $65 game.
EDIT: Nevermind. I just noticed that says PM. How long would you say it is straight thru?

Midnight-4am then 9am-3:30pm about 8 1/2 hours....

most of what i'm seeing people say is 8-15 hours, depending on if you blow through everything or do a lot of exploring and back tracking. Not sure how playing in 1999 mode will affect the length but considering the added difficulty and extras for that mode i'm assuming it will add a couple hours

Is the 8 to 15 hours getting all achievements/trophies?

I'm going to guess that is not including getting all trophies/achievements, that usually adds a ton of time and no one I saw mentioned getting them

Haven't played any of the other Bioshocks. Would I be completely lost in the story if I picked this one up?

I haven't played any Bioshock before this either. It's a brand new story so you should have no worries.

^^^^^1000X this. I wasn't disappointed with any of the Bioshocks they are all demented in their own way. I replayed the first 2 last month in preparation for this one. Can't wait to get home!!!

Found #2 in my kids game collection so now all I need is to get ahold of a copy of #1 and I can start the trilogy from the beginning.
I played #1 and hated it. Never played #2, I'm loving Infinite though...I may have to revisit the first two games.

First two are much darker. From what I have played of Infinite it isn't very dark and twisted yet.

Not sure if they still have it add a special, but PlayStation Plus had Bioshock2 it for free a couple of weeks ago. I have it started, but have been sidetracked this past week.
Sent from parts unknown using an Atari 2600 with the paddle controller. Does anyone actually read this?
