Lego weapons

So my son who plays a lot of lego Xbox games , so much he has his own Xbox now, needed some weapons to replace lost ones and to arm his civilian Legos, his words. We found a cool website that makes em and I ordered a MW weapon pack he is excited. Wish they had those when I was a kid. They even had the Uzi briefcase.

That's awesome! The Legos now are so much cooler than when I played with them. Though I assume these are not actual LEGOS, but compatible with the minifigures?

I bought off GIbricks.com who sells Brick Arms stuff. You can choose the weapons or like me I bought a preset pack with all weapon types. My son wants the Halo pack too. The custom men are more expensive. I saw a site the other day that sold sets of army Lego men. I forgot to Bookmark.

I got my brothers one of the Mega Blocks Halo sets. Pretty cool, but the bricks don't stay together quite as well as Legos do.

Yeah we got frustrated with those too. We ended up gluing a cool ship and putting it pk the shelf. We went to legoland a few weeks ago he custom made some of his own guys and bought a bag of only black blocks. To make a Darth Vader base he said.

I also am looking at fabricating or buying a lego table and bulk blocks, all we have are the kits for vehicles and ninja legos

I am glad he's doing more than play xbox, hypocritical I know.

Tables are easy. We made one - just some 4x4"s for the corners, 2x4s for the sides, and then a big sheet of plywood for the tabletop. Or if you have a 3-drawer dresser you can just put a sheet of plexiglass on top of it. We had two of them, put them back-to-back and had a play area of about 7"x4". Built some awesome forts on that!

Cool, I was thinking of putting it on wheels and turntable possibly. I have a woodshop here at work I should ask the kids to make it for me haha

We never did the wheels/turntable thing. You wanting the whole table to turn? Wheels might be nice, but you'll have to make it lighter or get heavy-duty wheels.

Oh, and ours had 2x4 crossbeams under the plywood, so we could sit on it while we played.

I am looking at good wheels for it. I am going to try and make it light or able to break down cause his room is upstairs and where we play alot is downstairs with not much storage room.

An easy way is to just take an existing table and glue the flat baseplates to it. We did that to a workbench for his son. Had shelves that slid out from underneath to store stuff. We did a 6' x 6' grid of base for like 30 bucks bargain shopping it. A picnic table type setup would work too, with a built in seat.

base as in the lego base? I havent searched for it yet. Work keeps getting in the way, but I plan to build it next week on vacation.

Yeah just the flat boards with the studs. You can get the 100x100 boards for $20-25 I think and some of the smaller ones for cheaper. Gluing them works great and then your forts don't fall off the table much.
