View Full Version : [PC] Why did you quit playing, why are you not playing?

Last night I was doing some cleanup of my contact list, and noticed there were several people who appear to no longer play. Plus, we have a large community here that isn't strongly represented in the game. So it started me thinking, why does someone quit playing, or what have they heard about the game that has prevented them from starting to play in the first place.

I am not in the USMG Eve corp, but those reasons are personal and have nothing to do with the corp itself. My here question is not so much a drive for corp recruitment as it is a drive to help people enjoy this game. Perhaps if we can understand why we don't have more members playing, we can help create solutions. If we get more forum members playing the game, we will naturally get more people in the corp, we will get more conversation on the game here in the forums, and we can have a better overall experience for us all.

I was interested in playing, but I just don't have the time and almost certainly won't have the time in the near future.

Not interested in playing, plus I don't own a comp that is worthy enough to play PC games

I quit playing because honestly, it's too complicated for me. I want to enjoy playing a game, not beat my head against the wall scanning 3 dimensional space tracking anomalies. Seriously, I felt like I should've earned a Commission in Starfleet playing that shit. Anyway, not for me.

Rather have my finger nails removed lol.... too much drama, not enough entertainment, too many decisions to be made and way too much reliance on non-usmgers.

Can't agree with the drama, but for me it was time. I was running two chars, and the time it took was way too much, especially now.

I don't see the drama and in play alone or with sir john. I Luke the missions and mining. PvP I haven't gotten good at yet but I'm not into the game for that

I'm only referring political aspect of it all as far as drama.

We are now going off topic. Let's not get into that subject again. Say your piece and pop smoke. No need to get into the details about that stuff

For me its time too. I still have 4 accounts, but just log to keep training going. I've been playing since 2007, I usually play a solid 3 months and thats in the fall....dont know why, but its what I do.

Not going off topic, just seemed like a governmental type game that's why I didn't try it. A lot of in game political drama from what I have taken from other people's experiences.

He did ask why.

Yeah its definitely a complex game. That's what I like about it.

I still play after i returned about a month ago. I just havent been able to log on since the shit going on here in Korea. If it wasnt for that i would be on regulary. The game suits my need for complexity and diversity. Yes the Null Sec area is nothing but politics and brokering deals with other alliances or betraying them. There are also players in game who sole purpose is to make other players life hell.

Great game, the only reason I'm not playing is internet connection issues while deployed.
