There have been other threads discussing this but this web site shows all the locations for this summers Zombie Races. This could be a cool event for USMG members to meet up and have a little fun. There is an event all over the country all throughout the summer. I will be entering this event in Riverhead, NY probably for both races on 5/5/13, and 9/8/13 with my wife. Anyone interested in doing this event in Riverhead let me know and I'll be happy to meet up. Its pretty cool how you can sign up as a runner, or a zombie. There are winners for both. I've never run in anything like this before but after I see how it is in May, I will wear a GoPro camera for the race in September and put up some video for those not near a location to participate themselves. Check out the site, and let me know what you guys think.

I saw the ad for one of these on the Walking Dead finale. Definitely looks awesome haha, adds a fun aspect to running and obstacle courses that people don't expect.

I ran this on Sunday, 5/5/13, and it was a lot of fun. I would recommend it to everyone. Brought back some memories running up, and down hills in the woods, with military style obstacles along the way. It took around 40 minutes to get through, probably could have gone through faster but I was with my wife who never did anything like this before. She is in good shape though, she just competed P90X with me.
Anyway, there is another race in New Winsor, NY around 70 miles north of NYC. This one has no zombies, but way more obstacles. More military like, and more of a challenge. Here is a link to the website, anyone interested PM me and I'll send you a promo code so you can get a discounted price.

How much do you run, since the marathon I just do 2 to 3 3milers a week then a 5 to 7 on weekend.

That's pretty much what I do. I don't run more than 5-6 miles a shot. I run all the 5k's in my area. I just started getting into these mud runs they are pretty awesome. I don't know if I mention this before but I have had heart problems in the past and recently got off all my meds I was taking for it. So basically I made some pretty big lifestyle changes which included proper diet, and more exercise.

that great man, wish I could come off my HTN drugs but have a very bad family history so no matter what I do will always be on them. Good for you!
