I indoctrinated t_reed678 & streak a little while ago. And we also figured out the multi-person group chat nonsense....

Oh and FYI: you can't accept a group invite while in a matchmaking queue. It fails to go thru, you have to leave the mm queue to proceed to the group.

The main things we learned.

- Down on the direction pad will cycle you through the voice chat channels available. Thus far only Group works for voice chat. You can identify if someone is on the channel by whether it is blinking or not. We were able to both be in the clan chat channel, but weren't able to hear.

- For whatever reason, we were not able to add a third person to the group via the friend link in the quick menu. It worked for the first invite, but when we wanted to add an additional person to the group, we had to be near them and use the "nearby" link under quick menu, which allowed the option of group invite.

-For mods, you can start adding mod slots to your weapons at Ego 100. At that point you can add the slots but only to weapons you don't currently have equipped in one of your load outs. It is ten minutes per slot added and random as to which is added each time.

- You can only affix mods to weapons that have that mod slot unlocked. You can identify this from the menu when observing the weapon. If there is a picture of a magazine in one of the four slots, then you can affix a mag mod; scope for scope etc. Your four slots are stock, barrel, magazine, and scope. Ensure when you choose the mod to affix that you push down and click the start button. You will get a yes or no screen after and will know if it works by observing the weapon in your inventory and seeing if the bonuses were applied next to the mod affixed.

-When driving, "x" is for boost, which is the bar to the right of the car portrait. It refills quickly. "O" is handbrake and left trigger is brake.

- A buddy can ride shotgun in your challenger.

Also, FYI: Jack discovered if your Modding a weapon (during its ten minute mod cycle) and your connection times out/get booted/quit the game...you lose that weapon permanently. So uh...don't do that lol

Just figured something out with those. Just figured something out with those. I wouldn't go that far, given the rocky launch and the fact that Defiance is 50% of their game library.

4 is max in group according to intel in game.

As for voice chat, Havok and I tried the channels. Only group works so far. You can switch to clan, and it will even show others in chat with you, but no commo as of yet.

There are definitely advantages to each class.

Last night I was just running and gunning and working through the controls, trying to get some xp and figure out gear etc. so I wasn't trying to get too much of the subtlety between the classes.

However it strikes me that with 4 gross classes, and 4 EGO "powers" that have multiple "perks" that you can add through leveling up ... the combinations are prob. pretty vast.

Right now I picked a Veteran class (assuming tank) but the ability I picked is a stealth ability I'm looking to see what I can do about creating a hybrid class long on Hit Points and easily able to get straight up in something's face, but able to finesse competently also. They usually pop up. You can also, it's either left or right on the Dpad, whichever brings up the one that shows friends/clan/nearby people it will show invites.. I also sent a clan invite, did you see that? If it did not come through, I'll resend for the clan when I get home, unless you are online with Jack or Finch and they can send it.

A but of both. There your typical MMO faceplate with player vs environment, killing things all around. PvP player against player in the other side of the game. I can not speak on PvP for I have not played it yet. In PvE there are missions you have to complete for the story line.

Being on pain meds and attempting to give a description is not good. Arkfalls.com will give the best description

Not fixed yet for me and sick... Both have to exit out of whole game and come back to talk again. Also, I got boots 3x today so I'm done for a bit. Plus side is that I'm over 500 EGO now. One more thing, anyone other than me and sick been doing those co-op missions? I already did 3, and beating each one earns you a bronze PS3 trophy! Plus they earn you some decent reputation.

I've been giving this game a good run, and it's boring. It's very repetitve and the missions are lack luster. Arkhunting was a huge let down for me. The battles are same thing over...and over....and over. I'm not sure if I can stick with it. I jumped in Sick's challenger the other night and cruised around the map, that was about my highlight.

Another thing I don't like is the all the different currencies.....:deadhorse:

Yeah I'm thinking your right...lol. I may get harassed for it, but I loved mercanaries! The second one sucked but the first was a blast. I liked the kill/capture options and the missions changed up some. That was the only open world game I liked. I'm still giving defiance a chance though.

The problem must be that I don't have any mods. Where do I get those from?

Also the random items I find after arkhunting, etc., are they worth picking up? I pick up everything I find, then sell what I don't want. I never really find anything good though. I'm running with a shotty, SMG, and an assault rifle.

You get awarded mods on different missions/side missions. They can also be purchased from various vendors.

You have to unequip the weapon before you customize otherwise it wont let you mod it. faction rep let's you buy better weapons and mods . EGO1208

Yea I have done one in Marin and Mount Tam. It's a 48 vs48 or 64vs64 Domination depending on where you are in the world when you I intimate matchmaking. I think they are a blast and your rating will go up every couple matches.

I am blaming my inability to get at least silver on the Rampaging and Hotshot events on the high amounts of narcotics in my system. I haven't seen much of an issue getting silver on the time trials, so maybe a bit more practice at hitting all of the rings to bring up the boost will help with gold, but I don't know.

The one with the damn chickens kills me every time. Has anyone even gotten a bronze on this one? I'll have to look at some youtube videos for the tips and tricks, because I fail MISERABLY each time that I try.

Man those chickens can suck it and the farmers running around picking them up can go jump off the tower as far as I'm concerned stupid bastards. That has got to be the most challenging thing in the game.

Silver here. pick your shots there is no time limit, don't shoot the chicken wranglers because you'll get a multiplier penalty if you do. Once you start wracking up the multipliers keep them going and you'll get silver.
