The dragons have been defeated, and the shouting has been silenced. Skyrim is done.

After 2.5-3 expansions, depending on your thoughts on Hearthfire, Bethesda Studios announced that the wildly successful Skyrim has been completed. While there will still be minor patches, the suggested expansions that were supposedly in the works appear to be cancelled or nonexistant.

So while some people are rather upset at this news, others see it as the sign that Fallout 4 is on its way. Which could be very exciting.

Good Bye and Good Riddance, SkyRim.

I was having fun with that game until I ran into the freeze glitches that were never patched...(XBox version).

Still Bethesda seems to put out those epic open world games.

This^. I thought 3 was way better than New Vegas.

New Vegas was great until one of the patches last year that caused random file corruption.

I had a variety of glitches besides freezing. I felt tech support sucked at Bethesda. I sent my list of problems in and never got a response. I checked their forums and found my problems were not unique, and many other players were having the same issues.
Kinda sucks, I maxed all my skills, completed the main story line, and then boom... the crap hit the fan. I cleared my cache, started a new character, and kicked my XBOX... nothing worked.
Too bad they wouldn't come out with a co-op or multi-player versions of their games ( like: COD World at War, or Red Dead). Nothing like a large free roaming map with a bunch of players on different agendas... chaos....

Most developers rarely take the time to respond to bug lists. Especially when its not just a single person's glitch.

And honestly, imo, multiplayer would be a fiasco in this game. Its the last thing Bethesda needs to think about.

I believe you are right... I just had the good fortune to have great tech support on other game issues with (the dreaded) EA and 2K. Actually 2K responded to me within an hour and kept weekly contact (unprompted) for a month, until a patch was delievered.
Yep, there is always a good debate on the multi-player version. They actually were researching the possiblities prior to the release of Skyrim. I don't think the consoles would tolerate this.

Yeah, as a full-fledged MMO. Which could be awesome....or at least the existing world could has extreme potential, beyond even WoW's initial world. But a co-op, or fps adversarial bit attached to a traditional game would detract far too much.

Since it bears pointing out, Bethesda Game Studios didn't make Fallout: New Vegas. That was made by Obsidian. The company that likewise ruined the sequel to Kotor.

And while a lot of people are assuming Fallout.........I'd disagree. BGS isn't the "Fallout" developer.......as opposed to them absolutely the Elder Scrolls developer.

I see Elder Scrolls 6 on next-gen by BGS, and Fallout getting handed off by Bethesda Softworks again. But that's just me.
