I had always thought that was started by Contra because that's the game that made it famous but its actual first use was in Gradius which was also developed by Konami.

I used to sneak on my dads computer and play this as a kid. I could never figure out that he needed the protection before he would sleep with the hooker and would always die. I would have been in so much trouble if my Dad had caught me.

5392this is where I started. we had it in the Den and would have elimination tournaments.
5394 then I would beat everyone in Armor Ambush
5395then I spent forever trying to beat Karateka (sp?)
After that girls and sports took over some, but I was programming computers too and learning to bust what was considered network security back then

Tell me about it.
I remember when I was a kid. My dad and I would sit for hours seeing who could get a higher score. He obviously had his own and I had my own

I also remember when my dad threw his at me cause I wasn't at home when the cable man showed up.
This happened when we were stationed in Germany when I was a kid. Literally, there was like two channels but def worth having.

Final fantasy VII and VIII are the best bar none.
VII is def in my top five.
Probably number two cause chrono trigger is the game that brought me into RPG's.
As far as for VIII. I wasn't a big fan of it
