The Nintendo Wii is home to plenty of strange hardware, but this one is downright baffling.

Made by hardware company Hori, the official Wii controller for the verbose game makes its title seem basic. In addition to a giant sword hilt jammed in the middle, it boasts two oversized buttons as well as all the controls you'd find on a regular Wii remote. All told, it's got over a dozen little input devices to tinker around with.
The price? An equally massive 12,800 yen, or about $137. And while the monstrous controller doesn’t include an e-reader slot for scanning in trading cards, DSi owners will be able to download a 'Color Code Scanner' app, scan the cards into their portable, then link that back to the Wii.
Sounds like a lot of work for one video game, though we gotta admit, that sword is pretty sweet.
