Same, have a Galaxy Nexus 4g through Verizon; I got it through amazon for 1penny.. (yes, you read that correctly) iPhone are way too expensive for what you get, but heh.. If you got money to burn, more power to ya. Btw, can i get some of your cash scraps? ;)

I love it. I have jellybean, with the voice context Google (like siri, only it actually works... Lol)

Anyway, I love it, I love the integration with Google, cause I use Google for everything..

I have the same one as jared. You know it depends on what your wanting it to do, I can do a lot with my droid, the iPhone is overpriced but still cool. The windows phone is pretty nice too. I want to play with one of those. My brother in law was going to let me try his but they postponed their visit this month due to the damn excitement in Redmond next week. He and his wife are Microsoft employees.

Lol. Honestly any high-end Android phone will probably be good. LG makes POS Android phones, but Samsung, Motorola ('DROID' branded), and HTC make good stuff.

Than definitely droid, as they offer the porn apps that apple won't allow.

Go with the Galaxy S3, or the Galaxy Note 2. Huge screens, great resolution. And its easy to share the porn with other Galaxy phones, if the opportunity arises.

I agree with pretty much everyones perspective but I will throw in the Apple piece since I have the iPhone5 and everyone else in your family seems to be using Apple. The reason I have it over any Android device is simply because myself, the wifey and kids all have multiple devices and its easier and less expensive overall if you stick one type of app store and one account. If I didn't have my iPad(For Porn) and MacBook (Originally bought for school) and all the other devices I would have stuck with Android (I had the original Samsung Galaxy). But since we all have the same devices we can use home sharing and it saves us money instead of having to pay for it on both the Google and App Store. But if you are not going to be dropping huge bucks on apps and want a cheaper but reliable phone go with any of the ones mentioned above. But if you want to purchase a whole bunch of Apps, or take advantage of ones your family may have already purchased by sharing I would go with Apple. You can get a iPhone4S for about 99 bucks right now which really isn't all that different from the 5, as far as power.

For me it's the iPhone!! I had Droids but they were all trouble for me. Always freezing up, or just shutting down when I didn't want it to. I'm not all that tech savvy so the iPhone for me is really simple to use that's why I prefer it.

What I like most about that phone is that you can take out an object if it obstructs the photo in the midst of taking the picture.

I don't have any experience with the Note 2 on VZW, but I had it with AT$T. If the size doesn't bother you, it would be my recommendation as far as Android phones go. BY FAR AND AWAY the best battery life and smoothest out of the box GUI experience I've ever had with an Android handset, and I've had quite a few. However, I know there are a few differences between the carrier bloat packages and even the chipsets, so this may not apply to the Verizon version.

I liked it so much that after I moved on from it, I want to go back to it. And that never happens. I just wish it had a BSI in the camera. I've got that now in the Lumia 920 (I know iPhone has it too), and the pics in low light are really on a level I've never seen out of regular smart phones. I actually find myself taking pictures in situations I wouldn't have thought about it before; it's kinda nice because I've never been one to take pics and now I've got all these stories and no pics.... Maybe that'll change now....

Do you take pics with your phone often? I think that would be another thing to consider.

Well a lot of these non-BSI cameras take very good pics as well, it's just the low light situations where they excel and make great pics out of what would normally be a blurry or pixelated mess. There are pics I take with no flash where I cannot see a damn thing on my screen while setting up the shot, then when it's taken somehow it's all there and very clear.

If low-light conditions aren't something you run across often, no need to look into a BSI setup.

HTC One... i read some where its got a beast battery...19 hours i think i read!!!

Yup I've read the same. Note 2 still should beat it out but the One has been getting rave reviews as far as the battery is concerned. I'm glad the Android handset makers are finally addressing that issue. It's not all that much of an annoyance to plug in regularly or carry a spare (or one of those charge pods), but it's much nicer to just not have to worry about any of that.

Personally, I would go for a Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, or even a LG Optimus Pro G. You may be able to get a really good deal on a Galaxy S3, which is still a nice phone. Galaxy Note 2 is very nice, or you could wait until Fall/Winter 13 for the Galaxy Note 3 (This should make the BEST choice for "On The Road Porn Consumption." The Galaxy S4 is avail on Verizon May 23rd, The HTC on Verizon May 22nd.

I have an iPhone and I love it.

It has way more technology than I could ask for.

Damn thing is probably a whole lot smarter and me.

I probably won't get another phone till mine seriously takes a shit.

I used to be into the "get a new phone every year thing". But that shits for the birds.

The older I get, the less I care about having the latest and greatest phone on the market.

Because just like computers, phones go out of date in a few months after production.

Finch, missed this one earlier. Both devices are great. It all depends on if "Bigger is Better" for you. The Galaxy Note 2 is still well-equipped with a 1.6Ghz Quad-core Exynos processor vs. 1.6Ghz Octa-core or 1.9Ghz Qualcomm on the S4. So, the Note 2 is not as fast as the S4, but will you really notice the difference? You could always overclock the Note 2 and have more speed AND a HUGE screen.

Personally, I'm not sure I could carry around a Note 2 on a daily basis. I have played around with one and it is nice

CrzyChinook

ok yes i would recommend sprint.. they are no different then any other cellular service..i have been with Verizon, and Cellular(right when they switched to AT&T)..

but ive been with sprint over 10-15 ish years... ive noticed that it really depends on what part of the country your in is which carrier sucks.. i hear all .. ive never had a horrible customer experience .. even when i knew i was in the wrong they have always worked with me and my bill.. and when they where wrong they again worked with me... now when i start hearing the person with stupid remarks i always ask right away for the manager.. some reps can act stupid just cause they dont know..... "sorry lady/man ive had sprint as a service longer then you had this job now move aside"..lol

service wise never had much trouble unless i was off a major high way but i think any carrier has these issues out in BFE..

now Price... NO ONE can beat them... i have a family plan... 4 smart phones(2 iphones, 1 droid, and 1 evo)... unlimited data, unlimited text.. free cell to any other cell..no matter the carrier.. and day time calling minuted i think is 1500 or 2500 .. idk i hard ever use them and have never gone over those minutes... guess how much a month... 200ish bucks a month..i looked at At&T and Verizon and neither can match with that.. the closest ive seen come to that is boost mobile at around 50 bucks per phone...equals almost the same

and now they have changed their phone turn in .. before you got credit for your phone after 2 years.. now its only 1 year... not as much as it was before but you still can wait and build up the two year credit turn bonus before you upgrade

plus i still get my military discount and all my nascar sprint stuff!! HELL YEAH...

all in all i really dont think any one company is far superior that the next.. in some regions some out perform then other.. and the same goes with customer service.. its all timing and luck for the most part... in the end for me its been what they offer and for how much!! and untill someone can beat sprint price's for unlimited.. ill be sticking with them

The problem out here is how badly their reception has always sucked.

gotta say ive never been up in that region ...every where else but the great north west... but i heard all the cell company's will have equal coverage by 2015.. some article talking about them reaching saturation point of cell towers at the rate they are putting them up.. i dont know.. but ive always heard you move to a new area ..ask the locals on what cell service works the best..

I had a bad experience with Sprint many moons ago with them consistently double billing me, but all cell companies are pretty much the same, like you said just depends on where you are. I'm currently with tmobile and they suck on base, but outside about so min away they are great. I'm waiting for my contract to be up to leave them though because of the recent poor customer service. I was trying to get out of the contract early...long story short they acknowledge they can't provide me with the service I'm paying for but then those that make the decision say no you can't get out early...so in Feb I'm leaving lol

I had Sprint eons ago and had the worst experience I could imagine. A lot has changed since then, and I'm sure they're much better, but I will never go back just for that reason. They do offer attractive pricing though.

I had Sprint before AT&T and my number got cloned and I had 6000 dollars worth of charges. Took me weeks on the phone to get it corrected and was called everything from a liar to an A-Hole and that they could never get cloned and I did make those calls to Mexico and Germany. Either way finally got someone who cared and sifted through the calls and saw that I was right. Cancelled on the spot and never looked back.

Exactly! The only way that could happen is when you upgrade your phone and fall under a new contract. That's why it's the first question I ask before I even consider getting a new phone!

That's right. If you get a new phone from them to renew your contract, you lose unlimited data. I'm just going to hang on to my phone a little longer and then buy slightly older phones.

Just found out the HTC one and S4 are going to be released next month with no bloatware straight from Google. Might be a good enough reason to finally make the switch from the iCrap

Yeah I just don't like how big the sizes are getting. My RAZR MAXX is big enough, and the S3, S4, DNA, and HTC One are All significantly bigger.

My wife and I are going to get new phones soon as well so I've got some questions. My wife doesn't really care about anything but pictures and I'm looking at the S4 for her cause or looks like the best choice. Any opinions of I'd its really that much better than the S3 or the HTC one? Between the two of us I've got it narrowed down to 4 phones: S3 or S4, HTC One, iPhone 5 (and I guess I can throw I the new windows phone just because). They all have great reviews (iPhone has the worst of all of them), so I'm kinda lost... Can anyone sell me on what they've recently purchased?

I have the iPhone 5, or as every one else calls it iCrap, and love it. It takes awesome pictures and has the panoramic mode. The only downside is my battery life(have to charge it every day and a half) compared to my iPhone 4, but that is probably due to how much time I spend on it.

The whole Android Apple feud is real lol, everyone I know that has an iPhone loves it, everyone with a droid says they hate iPhone, biggest piece of advice is to be happy with the phone you are going to have it for a bit, big investment. Look at what you are going to do with them, the lines between the both are slimming to say the least, if not to the point where apple is losing its foothold...not gone..but slipping

From all the reviews I've read the Nokia Lumina 9 something or other (windows phone) take the best pictures hands down. But your limiting what you can do with a phone going windows.

My wife doesn't really care about anything in a phone other than does it take good pictures and actually make audible phone calls, lol. She hates technology so I don't want to get her a top of the line phone cause she isn't going to use it, but they seem to be the only way to get really nice pictures. Thanks for the info on the Lumia (or whatever its called, lol).

Meh, WP8 is miles better than WP7.* as an OS, but the fact remains that the apps available are mostly crap and the OS is not polished yet. All kinds of draining issues, not-so-full-functionality-issues, completely suckass browser issues, etc.... The camera on the Lumia 920 is amazing though. Amazing for a smart phone. It's also remarkably durable and feels like quality in your hands (insert wiener joke here). The wireless charging plates are cool although not quite mature (too slow, sometimes if you have a rogue drain it can almost outpace the charge and also produces a ton of heat right there next to your lovely camera hardware).

It frustrates me a lot. If you're thinking about going with a WP device, make a list off all the apps you'd need/use, play around with those apps first and see if you could live with it. So many apps have issues getting along with the OS and so many have limited functionality.... The OS itself is also having teething issues.

For the record, I don't have many background processes going, I have hardly any live tiles, I don't tether unless my internet is down, don't have BT continuously connected, don't game except when on the pot, and the battery drains like phones did from a couple generations ago.... Way too quick. Inexcusable for a phone with a non-removable battery. Not being able to remove the battery also sucks when it freezes up. And oh yeah it has to be powered on to charge so... yeah... when you're frozen... yeah. WTF was M$ thinking, no dedicated charging circuit, we're talking cents here....

But I do have trouble letting the camera go.... Can't really bring myself to get a phone without a BSI setup now.

Only thing is android is android with there company stuff overlay ( HTC or samsung) I have owned 5 different HTC so I like and am used to the HTC from the get go ... But between the shear ruggedness of the metal case and the battery life ... For me HTC one for the win

Like I said earlier, if you want either the HTC 1 or S4, and don't mind paying out of pocket for the phone they will both be listed next month on Google Play free of all the CRAP bloatware and will be preloaded with JellyBean I believe. I'm definitely going to try to pick up a HTC 1 at that point.

Well I decided to go with the new Galaxy S4. So far I like it a lot. My wife absolutely didn't want an iPhone so if she was going to get one of these it only made sense for me to get one to. I like the bump to share technology and the camera is pretty amazing. I've got two weeks to try it outand if I don't like it they'll let me swap it for an iPhone for free. I doubt I will though because I love the widow calling feature with Tmobile. So far the S4 is beast though

Good choice! Make sure you turn some of the TouchWiz features that you don't use off or it will drain your battery.
