I'll be pcs'ing to 1stmardiv in June I have some questions if anyone is in the area.
How far is Temecula/Murrieta from camp horno? I'm looking to get a house in that area as there are bad ass houses with pools and Jacuzzis. I have 3 girls as well. How are the schools in the area? Post to this thread and I will pm you my cell if I have any further questions.

It is an awesome area bro. I live in Menifee which is right next to Temecula an Murrieta. I commute a little further all the way to San Diego everyday but definitely the most bang for your buck, especially if you want to own a house. It's about 40-50 miles to Pendleton. I can definitely tell you more if you want. Too much to write. I left you my number in a message on Xbox Live if you want to hit me up!

Temecula to horno is a bit of a drive, I'd say at least an hour. You'd also have to go through the fallbrook gate which I believe is notorious for heavy gate traffic. Take a look at a map and you'll get a better idea, from Temecula you'd probably take the 15 south and hit the 76 west, then drive across base and north since horno is in the north western region

Yea that's the best route. They have been widening the roads to make traffic better. It is a drive though I spend a lot my day on the road
