Something that should be very important to all us vets and those who support us. I would really appreciate if everyone took time this weekend to remember those who have fallen before us.... we pay homage to these individuals not with barbecues and drinks, but with a memory that their deaths will not be in vain. That we as Americans will continue to be thankful for the life they provided for us and continue the fight ourselves when our nation calls. So please refrain from talking about the parties and bbqs, for those who have lost dear friends this is a trying time. This is a time for remembrance.

Kudo's after a weekend of soccer tour, I get up around 5:30 on Monday and the VFW we go to all the cemeteries around do a pray, gun salute and taps, then 11 am Memorial day parade ceremony at the big cemetery then finally done for the day about 2 pm. Thanks you all for your service, I have my own personal ceremony I take 2 shots of jack slam one and pour the other on the ground after I'm back at the house.

My friends and I are planning on placing flags at one of the local veterans cemetery, cleaning headstones where needed. Just take the time to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Normally I go to the cemetary with a six-pack and catch up with some friends. Might have to steal Toby's tradition this year.

I'll be at the VA nursing home this weekend then at the veterans memorial cemetery on memorial day for a community ceremony. Its always awesome to hear the stories of the old vets in the nursing home and they really appreciate having current members come visit them.

For all of us that have lost friends or even family that have served our country I know that they would want you to remember them but not to cry for them because they knew what they were doing and were prepared for the ultimate sacrifice. I salute all the men and women that serve, have served, and have payed the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. God Bless!!!

While I was in Maryland for a Marine Corps school this past 3 weeks, I took a day to head to Arlington to visit some friends. Started at the Iwo Jima memorial and finished up at the Tome of the Unknown. Along the way a stone caught my eye....

It's spelled the way I wrote it.

I've been going there for years my friend.

Spent countless amounts of money too

I was a complete drunk this past weekend.

I think I drank enough alcohol that would have gotten all the active members drunk for three days straight.

This was over the weekend, def not within the first couple of hours lol.

Plus I'm pretty sure it only takes a few beers for some to get wasted (Sam aka iamthesgt is one of those too :p).

But...I did almost drink myself to black out status a few times.

Bump.
I know we created one this year, again. But, it is always a worthwhile look at our past USMG, posts. (There are dozens buried in our achieves).

Agree very much. Lots of great materials and memories that have been pushed to the bottom of the lists.
