Regardless of which side of the argument you are on EVE has always presented a challenge for our members and those involved in the corp who are not members. Recently we have had members have issues with people in the corps not joining USMG as well as drama in the past.

From now on USMG is NOT affiliated with USMGE or any other corporation on EVE. All members involved with EVE are more than welcome to do as they please as it wasn't an issue before. For the most part we are wiping our hands of the issues. Those individuals still running DUST I believe Sanders planned on remaking a clan or whatever it may be called for you all.

Thank you for your understanding. Any issues please PM me.

This is a sad day. Has anyone notified cw4phan about this?

This really does bum me out.

Yes. CW4-Phan instigated this change. And, he is now known as US Patriots.

We know it sucks for a few of you, we know we have members involved in the game but we have zero representation in the leadership aspect and a lot of EVE members who aren't members of the community

I don't think it changes much, those who were here are still here.

Will the ventrilo server be USMG or USMGE used?

The vent server we used with USMGE was an alliance server. I'll probably be making a switch once the new corp is up. I'm waiting for one of the directors to move all my shit out of nullsec.

We still have the USMG ventrilio server I thought... I am sure the information is somewhere in the forum. I'll check when I get home today. Tapatalk isn't conducive for searches.

Anyone still playing eve? I got a 14 day trial and decided to play around on it.

I am logged in right now, I play 2-3 accounts at a time. I know some of the others still play, but no one really plays together from here. On saturday I lost 7-8 billion in one ship. that hurt.

You have Vent or anything so you can explain things to me some. I'm a little overwhelmed.

The system you are in has 18 belts and it is a 0.7 Security system. For starting out that is a good system to mine in, safety is your main objective right now, if you get into a system that is 0.6 or 0.5 you raise the risk of getting ganked by players and NPC's.

http://evemaps.dotlan.net/ (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/) <<<< is a great service to help you find good places to travel/mine/rat in EVE

http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/Akiainavas (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/Akiainavas) <<<< is the system you are currently in.

Yeah, I'm thinking of doing that. I've been just logging in to update training. Now I've been kicked from my corp for inactivity and I'm trapped in Goon's controlled null sec with all my stuff. :)

best thing to do is sell everything, set your medical clone to hisec and try making a run for it lol. if you can fly an interceptor or a cloaky its easy to make it. I often fly thru all parts of null and I live in Provi which is surrounded by enemies.

RogueScot
04-21-2014, 14:25
That's exactly what I was thinking of doing. Might leave my stuff. Might want to go back. But, I could use the ISK, if I don't.

An announcement from CCP Falcon, one of the two Community Managers the company keeps on staff to interact with the CSM and the player community, was posted today following noted EVE lottery site Somer Blink's decision to close its doors. Falcon's post on the official EVE forums lays out the reasoning behind the ban in great detail, but the focus was on an ETC promotion Somer Blink started running on or shortly before August 17th, as it could be used to conduct and launder real-money trading. CCP also became concerned because this promotion was labeled by Somer as being "Approved by CCP". Whether it had been or not, according to CCP Falcon, Somer was not authorized to make such a statement to players. The apex of this triangle of questionable practice, however, was when Somerset Mahm published his or her private communications with CCP, including emails exchanged with the Senior Vice President of Global Sales, which violates both the EVE EULA and the Terms of Service. These three causes, taken together, resulted in the ban announced by CCP Falcon today.

Interestingly, concerns about the new Somer promotion were initially reported to CCP directly by a CSM member, and action was taken in remarkably short order. CSM Permanent Attendee Sion Kumitomo said that the issue was first noticed on August 17th by CSM Member Corbrexx, who reported the matter to his fellow CSM representatives and CCP simultaneously. "We had our first of what I believe was five meetings with CCP early Monday morning," said Kumitomo. "The process involved a flurry of meetings, forum exchanges, and real-time discussions as new developments came to light." CSM Member Ali Aras characterized the process of working with CCP on this issue as "an example of the process really working as it ought". Sion Kumitomo echoed her sentiments, saying "A lot of this is on the dedication and competence of CCP Falcon and CCP Leeloo. They put in an absolutely Herculean effort at all hours of the day to help resolve this in a swift, and fair, manner."

But the work wasn't all on CCP's end. Sion Kumitomo emphasized that the other major factor in the smooth handling of this issue was the constant involvement of the CSM by CCP. "At every step of the way, CCP took the time to consult, listen, and solicit our input — including a meeting with Lisa Bell-Cabrera, the VP of Global Sales in the emails Somer published." Ali Aras also credited CCP's Community Managers with ensuring that the CSM had the access they needed in order to give effective input in the resolution of the matter. "Once we informed CCPs Falcon and Leeloo, they brought the issue to others in CCP and got the internal processes moving, all the while keeping us involved with multiple meetings and very fast turn-around times."

The CSM, at least, clearly hopes that this brief and cleanly-managed controversy will be the trend when working with CCP on hot issues. "I certainly hope this kind of response will be nothing special," said Ali Aras - and with glowing compliments from the CSM already posted to Falcon's thread, CCP has a lot of encouragement to ensure that it isn't.

I was leery of the RMT part but I loved playing Blink when I was waiting in a pvp fleet. I keep clicking on it out of habit. I am excited I may get a couple billion back even though I won billions in ships and reselling .

I am still playing Eve almost every day. I have 9 toons now, with each toon having a different specialty. Really started enjoying buying/building/selling toons and got fairly lucky making a few billion doing it that way, so I can Plex my accounts now. If any of you still have crap stuck in Goon territory, I have a toon in a CFC alliance so I can get it out for you easily....or you can just use Red Frog. Depending on what it is I may just buy it from you on the spot. It is a great game, but it isn't really something that you can casually do like most console games. You are either really into it, or you aren't.
