So I got my pcs award today via it being uploaded to my permanent file. I cannot believe as E7 worked my ass for 3 years in recruiting and they are only going to give the simplest award. A Army Achievement Medal. I figured at least a ARCOM like my peers. But a fucking AAM is like a slap in the face... Oh mind you I have 2 months left and they think I am going actually work ???? I will go through the motions on how a job should be done, that's it though. I know it's not right but I deserve better and will work on what they think I am worth .....

Hey brother... had the same shit happen to me... the military can be neglecting of rewarding those that deserve it with spoiling it by giving it to many. If careers weren't so dependent on points and everything it wouldn't be that big of a deal but in the Air Force many stripes are decided by one point or less.

My PCS award from Germany to Ft. Hood was supposed to be an ARCOM but it got switched to an AAM cause there was a door issue to the SCIF I was in charge of.

Knowing my fucking luck that shit would happen.

I haven't received a pcs award my whole 8 years in the navy because my leaders were to lazy to write one up from my 2 past duty stations. I got a jcom out of my current command though that I submitted myself with guidance. But your right getting an aam as an e7 is slap to the dick.

Ive had to write all of my decs but one, and that one I had to take to a SNCO (I was an E4 at the time) because it was bullshit I didn't get put up for it when I was in Kuwait. He agreed gave my supervisor paperwork when he had to tell him the second time to write it lol
