I can't believe there isn't a dedicated thread to this game. I have searched and found nothing. Anyways, here's ign video review along with the mp trailer. Game currently holds a 95 on metacritic. GOTY possibly? Xbox guys, now is the time to pick up a ps3!!!

Sure is, this is why I'm glad I have both systems. I picked up the PS3 because I'm a huge JRPG fan and they don't show up for Xbox. It's nice to not have to worry about exclusives, but they seem to be happening less than they used to

I was reading an article on yahoo, that said the game received a perfect review from multiple sources. Definitely looks amazing, I'm envious!

I have had this one preordered for a while and can't wait to play. The only down side is that I told my son if he doesn't get the 2 grades he is failing in back up before it comes out it goes on the shelf unopened so we just stare at it until he finishes summer school. His grades would have been fine if he never realized girls are fun. As for the perfect score I have read 6 reviews so far and perfect scores across the board, even one from a podcast I listen to where the guy never gives above a 9.5

This is definitely my next buy, just ordered Deadpool, so I'll have to let a little time go by first before convincing the wife to let me buy another lol.....I wear the pants but she has the wallet

So what does everyone think. So far I'm about 6 hours in the sp and all I can say is that it's a awesome game. Naughty dog has created yet another outstanding gem. Me and sick puppy have been playing mp for awhile now and while it's only 4 on 4 you really have to work together or you will get shit on by people with good tactics and comms.. I will be playing this game all night tonight.

I really haven't had a chance to play but was watching my son play yesterday and it looks almost like your playing a movie in parts it is totally sweet

I think so far this one of the best games I have ever played. I have to force myself to put it down. Its like one of those games that makes you sweat a bit trying to weave through a map of enemies, but also makes it exciting even if things go wrong and gun fights can be challenging and intense.
Uncharted was my favorite PS3 exclusive... But this game took the Title! Not a surprise though, its by the same developers.

Well for my son (a teen with ADHD) it only took him 13/14 hours to beat on normal now he is playing through on new game plus

Plus I've heard that finishing the 2 journeys on MP take ALONG time for each gold. This is MOST DEFINETLY A long term investment game.

Finally finished single player and it was a terrific game. One of the best stories I have played. A definite goty contender.
I'm just starting it now. After wasting the day playing Fuse (which sucks DO NOT BUY THAT GAME!), I've got my connection back and ready to roll! Wooo!
Played about an hour of it, it's a gorgeous game....but it's kinda boring. Maybe it's just a slow starter

I love this game. I beat it on normal and will be making my way back through on survivor sometime this weekend. It's weird you were bored I was riveted the entire time. The story is good and I was hooked right at the intro. i was like WHAAAAAAAAT!!! I will be trying out the MP tonight so if anyone wants to get on here and play a little MP I'll be around.

The first hour is all introduction to the story after you reach the building where you meet your first infected it starts picking up and believe me it really picks up.
The intro was excellent. I felt like I was watching a movie! I played thru the tutorial part and I just finished chasing down Robert. I stopped at the part where I met up with the woman from the Fireflies. It just feels a bit slow, I guess it's just me

Yea, I'm warming up to the storyline. I just needed to wrap my head around NOT engaging the enemy. I do the sneak 'n peak and bug out when possible. I'm in Hunter territory just outside of Lincoln. I'm kinda stuck though I don't know where to go next...
I'll give MP a whirl tomorrow night when I'm on. I'll hit you up if I see ya

Played some MP last night with Sickpuppy and SteelBullet. Survivor mode is pretty tits....you gotta have a communicating team to win though lol

Safe to say the game is a success lol, Sony Computer Entertainment said Naughty Dog's The Last of Us "surpassed all sales expectations" after shipping 3.4 million units worldwide, including download purchases, in just under three weeks!

I broke down and got a ps3 for this. Admittedly I was gonna get one eventually to play exclusives I missed but this is the reason I did it now. Money well spent.
