Unless I'm mixing it up with another game, this is an MMO set in a near future. 3rd person shooter, think ghost recon future soldier MMO and you won't be too far off the mark

Holy...that looks freakin' sweet! Any chance of a PC version?

(from what I've been hearing, most Ubi games do end up on PC even if not initially announced as such). Since Destiny is basically 100% NOT going to be on PC, I might get this one instead. Since I'm not getting a next-gen console, I don't see a point in Destiny for 360.

They didn't mention one during the press conference, only that it was coming to PS4 and XBone, so that there tells us absolutely that it will not be any sooner than this holiday season. If, however, it were slated so soon we most definitely would have been told it was a launch title. With that and prior e3 revealed games taken into account i'm going to guess a 2014 quarter 2 or 3 release at best. Even though the demo looked pretty polished I'm assuming they've still got a ways to go before it goes gold. Would love to see it sooner and will keep watching for news on it but that's my realistic guess

Looks like they plan in making multi-player a little more interesting.

"Ubisoft is aiming to make the consequences of death more significant in The Division's multiplayer mode. Taking a page from Dark Souls, dying in multiplayer will result in the loss of your hard-earned equipment.


The idea of losing supplies is meant to increase the tension involved in exploring the multiplayer world, which will retain the atmosphere created by the campaign. "We want player versus player to be meaningful," game director Ryan Bernard told OXM. "And the way player versus player gets meaningful is you need to have something to lose--it's not just a scorecard in a multiplayer map."

Like Dark Souls, there will be a mechanic that allows players to retain their inventory after death, but how Ubisoft plans to implement such a feature remains unclear. The Division is set to hit Xbox One and PS4 in 2014."

Sounds a little like the premise of Mass Effect 3's multiplayer in having a bit of influence on the campaign.

They explained this already. You have the chance of losing anything you earned with your team until you extraction out. Once you extract its safe. But while your extracting it puts a Beacon on the map for people to see so you become a target for the closest pvp teams near you.

I have some Ubisoft games I think from Steam but they're older and I haven't played any. The only one I've played was on the 360.

I'm definitely getting this game. I played the beta with Lou and a couple other people, was extremely fun. I loved the tactical aspect of the game and the dark zone makes it extremely interesting. The right kind of stress/suspense I was looking for. Loved dodging the rogue players and npc's and trying to get my gear out fast or pushing my luck and seeing what I could get. Was always interesting running into players and raising guns at them just in case, and watching then do the emotes to show they meant no harm.

I'll be down to play with anyone getting the open beta.

Graphically, I do not think it looks as awesome as when they revealed back in 2013 E3, but it does still looks pretty awesome. In regards to the gameplay though, it does still fun as hell.

Ok I am once again I am trying this Tom Clancy game. I have always like the previous ones, I hope this one catches on unlike Ghost Recon and Rainbow six siege.... I do think the mechanics are a little clunky so far in the Open Beta.. After reading article written by IAMTHESGT I can already see and agree with finer issue with the game. But On a side note If we had a couple good groups of players we could totally rule the dead zone. Parties being allowed max size of 4, but if we had at least maybe 2 groups of 4 working together, some good ambushes could be set...

So beta is complete. I tried to maximize all my experiences in the game. So I played the main game solo, and attempted the dark zone solo. I also got a chance to get in a few groups( only USMG folks and their friends). So the solo campaign of the beta was cool and interesting I cant wait to try the full experience, I believe there there were some instances that were harder, vs when I was in a group. I also notice when grouped that the instance contain more NPC's which would be expected, but it also allowed the lower level member of the group to rank up faster.(they were at level 4 start of the Medical mission, and by the end was level 7) So you can power level friends that start the game late. In the dark zone , when I was soloing I couldn't figure out what the point was or how to find stuff---All I knew was there were people doing stuff, killing others and a extraction point. I was stupid and could not understand what was going on. Then another USMG member was online, so I joined there group, and the Dark zone experience became enjoyable. I got to actually find spots to do missions, why there the extraction system exists( to remove and decontaminate loot found during missions/instances) I learned more of the darkzone with there help. I can say this game is more enjoyable with friends than soloing...

I do plan on buying this now and hope that its flair doesn't die off quickly like past Tom clancy games.....

So I went with the Game stop deal and bought there 1 TB version on One.. I traded my first Gen in towards it, playing it as often as my lets me. I was thrown for a slight loop when there was a tutorial part before the actual beggining of the game like the Beta had..
