As we all know we have had a long and prosperous journey and though it always hasn't been easy we are still here stronger and more consistent than ever. The staff is doing everything in their powers to make sure the USMG experience is second to none.
We recently has a question brought up about the civilian age requirement and referral process and what we are trying to accomplish. USMG was founded with the belief that this place would and should be a safe haven for those who have served or those who support the mission. Some individuals feel like this place should be exclusive to military only but it's important to realize we would be nowhere quick without the support of our civilian counterparts. Military folks tend to forget all of our bosses are civilians. Back on topic, the age process is to maintain the integrity of the clan, we all have families and do not need more kids running around in the forums when we have them running around the house already, regardless of maturity level.
After a vote session, it was deemed the age process remains the same (21 civilian, 18 mil) and I wanted you all to know that our civilian recruitment is allowed but those individuals NEED a referral from a current USMG member... one that can vouch for them. There are a lot of trolls in the 99% equally so in the 1% but we know how to handle those individuals with some wall-to-wall counseling.
All members... please appreciate what they do for us. Without our civilians our service is pointless.
This is just some FYI in case any of you had buddies looking to join.

I tell you what, I love love love being a civilian but I appreciate those who are currently serving and those who have served.
As a vet I appreciate all who care about the military.

It's good to have standards, and live up to those standards. Well said.

Thanks for the updated summary Kant! I know our current civilian/age policy has worked well thus far, so I'm glad to see it's staying unchanged. It gets challenged from time to time, but that's with any policy. Who the hell is really mature at 21 either......hell at 34, I'm still invincible and conversing with a video gaming community! :noidea:
Anyway, civilians have always been welcomed here on a limited basis. That was one of the cool things I loved about USMG from the get go, they didn't feel "elite" or "superior" to civilians just because they were a military based community. Hopefully we can stay that way, and not lose sight of our initial purpose.
On a side note.....a big Thank You to our staff! I know it takes alot of volunteer time to keep USMG going, and you all are doing a great job!

At the end of the day we all do our parts for this great nation in some way...we chose and continue to serve. It is up to every member of this community to maintain it's integrity and remain vigilant with the quality of our members. We are doing great lets keep the momentum moving forward into the future!
