More like 20 years old. I played Wolfenstein on my first PC.

Yeah I guess so...it was in the first generation of 3D games, along with Doom and Quake

OMG! Some of ya'll are sooo young. :) Wolfenstein 3D was the first first-person-shooter on the PC. Came out in 1992. This is the game that got me started in PC gaming and ultimately landed me here. :)

It was revolutionary at the time.

Not the same. Check again. Wolfenstein 3D is credited as the first FPS. :)

Castle Wolfenstein was top down.

Lol that's funny cause my uncle had it too, he used to work for Apple back in the day, he only had one because of the employee discount lol...bet he wishes he kept that job lol

But 3D was also credited as a reworked version of Castle. Like Zelda's transformation from top down to platform to open world. ;)

Oh, I agree that 3D wasn't the first Wolfenstein, but it is tomato. :) I said it was the FIRST FPS. :) I wasn't into Macs in 1981. As a matter of fact, I don't think I even had seen a personal computer in 1981. Actually, I take that back. Radio Shack TSR 80. I didn't really get into computers until 1986.

Probably. Like I said, the whole game fit on a 3 1/2" floppy disk. Who knows what they've done to it since.

My first computer didn't even have a hard drive. It had 2 5.25" floppy drives. It was a blazing fast 10Mhz XT computer with a whopping 1mb of memory. I upgraded it, for a couple of hundred bucks with a 20mb 5.25" hard drive. I was really hardcore then. Oh, and it had a CGA monitor. Look it up. :)

Hahaha. No doubt. I read, a while back, that the iPhone is more powerful than a Cray super-computer from the eighties.

My boss tells me stories about the room we had that stored the buildings "computer". Everyone was wired into it and all they had was a monitor.

My first was a 486 MHz with a whopping 14.4 baud modem 4mb of ram...hell don't even remember the size of the HD. I was 14....saved all summer to pay for the damn thing lol...how far we've come

Hah! My dad was a teenager and he built himself a computer-one of the only people he knew with one. He spent about $2,000 on a 4 MB hard drive.

Yeah my first was a refurbished one....couldn't afford a new one lol I remember having to save for memory upgrade to 8mb and my head almost exploded when 56k modems came out

Ouch! I got a cable modem the day it became available in the city where I was living and never looked back
