On the off chance that part of my problem in the time trials is the internet speed, I have just ordered a jump up in the speed. Has anyone else noted a problem with playing with a slower internet speed? Granted, my driving is less than stellar, but a minute and a half slower no matter how many times I run them just does not seem possible without something else going on.

Our Internet totally sucks but Klaws got that Black Dodge and I regularly want to throw my controller across the room at him cuz he likes to rub it in. I can't get past bronze on the trials. And no it has nothing to do with Women drivers like he likes to think =\

The more you level the vehicles the easier it gets. I missed the charger challenge this past weekend. The precious two I missed by 1 second

Hmmmm....increased speed and took bronze on coastline course. Me thinks Internet speed may therefore be a factor. I bought the purple charger...my :behindsofa:charger is sexier than his black charger.

Lag is a HUGE issue. I have noticed MANY times upon finishing a race I would see one time as crossed the finish and would then have 3-5 seconds added to my time. 3-5 seconds make a huge difference in my experience when going from Silver to Gold. I really do not know how some of these people get such low times in the trials.

I will never again comment with the phrase "sexy" or "sexier" in any post. I made bronze on Demon Run too, so for the moment I am just thrilled with Bronze. Although I ordered a bump in speed for my Internet, I did a speed test the other day and the while the speed did increase, it did not increase as much as the speed I ordered. Other things impact internet speed such as the distance from the hub I am told, and maybe other people also pulling down bandwidth. Part of the trick may be to try to do the time trial runs during a low use time. With the West Coast playing though I don't know if it would be lower use time in my area, or to try lower usage time on Defiance. I may play with that this weekend.

Well the speed they advertise is the maximum speed you can get. Not average or anything. And at least on DSL lines, that may be the shared speed-shared between several houses. My experience, 3 mb/s lines average 1.5 and 6 mb/s lines average closer to 3. (An exception would be Verizon 4G, where they advertise 6-8 mb/s and I average 12-15)

I have Comcast Cable and ordered 50mb and am running about 23-27mb. So, I just have to sabatoge my neighbor's cable connections, and I too may be the proud owner of black Charger. Now where did I put my camo stick?:cool:

Despite being slammed a couple of times by A "Varus collect the pheromone samples", and for some reason the gates not working correctly, this morning I made Silver in two separate races. Trion may have worked on the races, but still can't seem to get it right with things popping into the race path.

Scored GOLD on Iron Demon Run! I am wondering if they have switched servers or something. I also landed two more Silver. Quick! Everyone who has not run the races or have not placed as high as they want, you might do it before the DLC drops. I have been playing most of the day and I have been attacked by Volge, a wandering Hulker, 2 arkfalls and so forth. I don't mean to be negative, but if there is a lot of stuff coming down with the DLC, it may take them awhile to get it straightened out. Who knows what will wander in the path of a race course after tomorrow.
