That's right folks they are back and will be here mid July! So now we will truly be prepared for the Zombie apocalypse. According to CNN
The new Twinkies box will look very similar to the old one, with the addition of the line "The sweetest comeback in the history of ever." The price will stay the same as last fall - $3.99 for a box of 10

Hostess is no longer.....the company (there were two main companies that purchased all of their major products) that purchased the rights to Twinkie's finally made the announcement about the return. The sale was finally confirmed not too long ago and we have been waiting on an announcement of what products are coming back, naturally this one had the most attention. Curious to see what other snack cakes come back from the sale.

The Metropoulous Family that took over Pabst Blue Ribbon are also responsible for saving Hostess, the makers of Twinkies. There has been a long held misconception that Twinkies had a shelf like of basically centuries. In fact, they were really only recommend fresh for 26 days.

In a week when you are doing your PBR tallboy/Twinkie pairings, note that they will have double the shelf life – up to 45 days. While the ingredients are still a secret, I’m assuming there is some new preservative in the remake.
