Ok so I just learned that July is national hot dog month. Some interesting facts
During hot dog season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), 818 hotdogs are eaten every second. And on the Fourth of July, Americans devour approximately 150 million hot dogs; that's enough to stretch from coast to coast five times.
with that said what's your favorite dog and how do you like em? Personally I'm a fan of the Chicago style dog, but when I'm home (Rhode Island) I go to Spikes Junkyard Dogs and get me a Freakin Hot Hot dog...comes with hot sauce and hot peppers.

All too easy: the West Virginia hot dog. It consists of chili, onions, mustard, and cole slaw, served with a steamed bun.
I like the Texas Ranger!

I prefer some good brats in beer, onions, peppers, brown (or seasoned mustard) and wash it down with beer.. and beer... Ever since I spend a few days in Germany during Oktoberfest.. I was hooked.

For those who don't know he is talking about the infamous hot weiner. These dogs don't even look like real meat anymore, they are served on a steamed bun with a type of meat sauce (it might look like chili but believe me its not), celery salt, mustard and raw chopped onions. The famous N.Y. System is the true place to buy these and some of these places are located in places where you look like you might get shot at 2am which is the best time to have them, bring on the Beeers!

i enjoy a good classic dirty water dog in central park... with all the fixings.. that system sure looks good though..

and yeah a good German brat with some good ole Hefeweizen... god i miss that... great place to get it if your in the neighbor hood of Atlanta... Helen GA... a German town in the US.. ran by military German spouse's and their kids... come over the hill and its like it magically transports you back to Germany.. the whole town is built to look like a traditional Bavarian town...

I think I'm going to have to get some brats now this weekend. The best part about it is I'm the only one in the house that eats them so I don't have to share lol.
Same here. The kids won't eat em. I want to get some good butcher shop ones . The store bought are good. But back on the east coast some old school butchers made brats and so good like a small german town brat. Still don't understand the round brotchen with a 8 inch long brat haha.

Thats the shitty part about being where I am in Jersey....all the good shit is at least 1 1/2 hrs away, no bakery, no butcher....argh :frusty:

Yeah I wasn't doing anything around lunch time on the 4th so I was just sitting there watching it. Kinda gross.
