JPAC is a mess... inept and overfunded for the work they do.
I just got through with a short meeting with my Brothers in Rolling Thunder and it is a shame some of the most important Congressional proposals are being ignored for these efforts.
I had the pleasure to meet Artie Muller some years ago, and it is unbelievable the crap that goes on behind the scenes. No wonder it took so long for the family to gain closure.

This is the setup they had waiting for his remains today. He was escorted by the WV state police and the Patriot Guard.

They had a similar setup in my hometown for the funeral of a local US deputy marshall who was killed while serving a warrant.

I think it's just done out of respect. Neither of the gentlemen I mentioned were firefighters to my knowledge.
