Is anyone out there Outlook saavy? I am having issues receiving emails from other bases. It works locally and when I send it to other bases but I can't figure out why I can't receive them. As far as I know my certificates are good. Any help? It'd be greatly appreciated.

Is it from multiple people or just one person. I had this issue before and it was actually a problem with their account, certificates, and ability to send encrypted email.

It is just one person at a time as far as I know. It's different people but ALL people from my old base that I have been trying to get in touch with, I'm assuming other people at other bases would have the same issue as well. It doesn't affect any e-mails from people here at Sheppard.

Yea that's weird broseph. I would have the staff IT take a look if you have one.

I never liked Outlook, so I can't help you. Always used web-based mail or Thunderbird.

Anyway, are you getting any kick backs? What the mail server sends you back usually tells you whats going on.

Negative, they say they get errors when they try and send them to me. I receive nothing.

sounds like its a DOIM problem.. your base firewall perhaps... you have to check with your local it... outlook has been so simplified that it ether works or doesn't.. very rarely do you have to set up your settings.. i take it this is a NIPR computer??

Yeah it's basic. I'll be calling Small Computer this next week hopefully they can hash it out and see what's up.

What error are the remote people saying they receive?


In truth, there isn't that much to Outlook. I assume you have your account setup, and authenticated. It could be the Exchange (email) server itself. Have you reported it?
