View Full Version : [PC] BF4 Recruitment - When and How

OK so I know there are a few of us who will have this title on PC (pre-ordered yesterday for me), but as far as recruitment goes, how are we handling that? I can't remember when the recruiting started for BF3, but I do remember we had a couple threads on the BF forums. Is it pretty much going to be the same thing this time around and if so, when does all that stuff start happening? Who is heading up that effort?
Pretty sure we can re-recruit some of the guys we brought in when BF3 launched, but if they're not still around and active now, won't they disappear after getting bored with BF4 as well? I was hoping more would stick around as part of the community but maybe after a second go-round they'll be more likely to "stick".
I also assume we're going to be using the clan chat server, correct? Are we going to be getting a USMG server together to play on? If so, I hope EA/DICE worked on their server assignment algorithms since the last time I tried to get one to work.
Not sure if this should have been posted here or in the Cabin. If it needs to be in the Cabin, please move it.

I'll probably be a few months late picking it up, since I won't have the monies to build my PC right away. But I think this is an excellent idea.

I'd suggest slow recruiting now on the EA forum, and then ramp it up and expand as we get closer to release.

Ok, seems we have the "How" covered.
I can help with the recruitment/server duties again if necessary. But if our PC Green Team have it covered, that's cool too. I was just making sure we had some sort of plan in place to get the ball rolling when it's time.

If you would like to be a contributing factor to the recruitment raging, especially PC please bring it up closer to release, we are looking for more PC recruiters usually. Especially if you are looking into hitting the ground running.

Kewl. Yeah I'd be glad to help.
Will remember to stir this pot again closer to release.

Sounds good. While we are always recruiting we are in the pre-release lull of these new consoles.

It's been my experience that we go through this with most of the major titles (see also: COD series). I'd say the ratio is about 2 in 10 (just a guesstimate) that at best that stay with us after the luster of whatever new game fades.

Agree with this.

Yeah. I joined the community right around when MW3 dropped, and prior to that, we had a ton on BF3. Then it trended down. I played it some on PS3, and then that trended down too. For awhile I was the only consistent one on the Xbox side, then it's trended up again recently (probably the biggest it's ever been).

Ya there's been a huge turnover since I've been here (a bit after mw3 dropped)....
