Ok so I'm trying to get rid of a car I have on lease so I can get a bike so what is the best way to do this? And if I need to take it to a dealership where in SoCal can I hopefully get this vehicle off my hands and out of my pocket book

Being that you have a lease, you have no choice but to live out your contract.

If you took out a loan for the car, you could easily go to carmax or a local car dealership and see if they will buy it from you.

Only thing is, you'll have to pay any remaining balance that the dealership won't pay.

Until you do that, the dealership buying your car won't be able to get the title from the bank you took the loan from.

My question also my parents gave me a 2010 Infiniti g37 convertible as gift this weekend (paid off) what's the best way to sell this beast? Edmonds has it at $29000 with the 20k miles it has on it. How can I get the most cash out of it I've never sold a car lol

You'll have to buyout your lease, and then you can sell it. or you can wait until your lease is up, and give it back, free and clear.
I had to do this with my wifes Honda CRV. Its kinda a pain.

Wait a minute.. your parents GAVE you a car free and clear, and you want to turn around and sell a gift. That sir, is a DICK move.. :censored:
That's a really nice car too, why on earth would you want to do that??

It's a hardtop automatic convertible so it's uber impractical (no trunk space) besides I've got an Acura tl that's in perfect condition

I'll give you 5 dollah!! I'll even pick it up!

Best return for your dollar would probably be private sales, unless you're trading it in. I wouls suggest hanging on to it for a bit, though.

You can take it to a local Infiniti dealership and see what they'll give you or take it to a local CarMax.

In my opinion, CarMax will give you the best deal

Gotcha may look into all 3 was thinking auto trader might be my best bet but to unload it quickly infiniti dealer might do the trick... It's really too bad it's a convertible I might keep it if it had more trunk room

I dont' think Infinity will give you a better deal.

Reason being is that they'll only give you a good deal if you buy a car from them.

If you don't, they are going to low ball the shit out of you

So, what you should have done, is tell your parents you cannot except the car as a gift, that's is totally impractical for your needs, thank them profusely for the thought, and let them sell it.. I'm just saying..

If you gave me a gift, and I turned around and sold it, or re-gifted it, how would you feel about me? kinda shitty maybe.. I tell ya how i'd feel.. It would be a cold day in hell before I gave ya a gift again.. just my 2 pennies..

Hahahaha!

He could probably use the money for another car that he likes or to pay off bills...such as the current car payment that he has.

Must be nice though to get a gift as such lol

Hey, if it was me I'd keep it. Rob is right, it'll be hard to get Bluebook on it and that's another reason I'd keep it . but if you're dead set on selling it there is always "we buy any car" lol.

Since this is the official advice thread I'm going to ask for some. I was in Target the other day and saw a new PSP for $100. I looked around and both Gamefly and GameStop both have some decent games for around $5-$10. My son would probably get the most use out of it. So does anyone have or had a PSP that can tell me how it is, and if its worth the $100?

I have a PSP and I still like mine. The set up is just like the PS3 as far as menus and options go. $100 is not a bad deal for a new one as long as its not the Darth Vader edition, that thing had some manufacturing defects that would cause the screen to crack, you can get a replacement screen for around $25, but who wants to invest more into a screen if you just bought the PSP?

My wife and son both have one each and like them. FWIW, you can also get movie discs for it for uber cheap.
