Some news for this highly anticipated title


During E3 this year, EA DICE revealed a teaser for a new Star Wars Battlefront game (see below) built on the Frostbite 3 game engine. We have quite a wait for the game, however, as EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said today during a stockholders call (via Eurogamer) that it will be coming in 2015.

"We have partnered with Walt Disney and Lucasfilm to develop a whole new generation of Star Wars games for the console as well as for mobile and handheld devices. The first game that we're focused on is Battlefront. It's a traditional game that's done extremely well and this will most likely come out around the same time as the Star Wars movies start to come out, probably in the summer of '15.

I dunno...a lot of games don't go to PC. But both the first ones did, so I feel fairly confident this will too.

If DICE screws this game up too they will most likely be out if business shortly after. IMO if they can make this a killer game it will be their saving grace hopefully they have the balls to stand up to EA and not release another shit game.

I've never heard exactly who's fault was BF4, but I'd suspect it was EA trying to release the game "on-time".
