Sorry to have to say this guys but I am not able to do graphics anymore, my computer is permanently out of commission. I can't afford to fix it as I am unemployed due to having a broken back. I'm sorry guys I just can't take money away from my family right now. Hope you all understand.

Go take care of yourself man we can hang on to our sigs and stuff until you get back. Your family is more important than making stuff for us, take care of your back so you can heal quickly and get back on your feet. How much do you need to fix it? Maybe we can help you out.

I have a two prong approach- first when it boots up how many beeps do u hear? There is a universal error beep which tells us what is wrong w the PC secondly you need to check the PSU / power supply unit- those take craps a lot-my suggestion is that u can get one for 30-70bucks. I bet we could help u out w this .... What wattage is ur PSU?

The last thing would be a wiring short which is highly doubtful.

My suggestion

KaNtSt0PMeH
08-05-2013, 21:58
I would assume its your PSU Watson given all we know about your computer plus how strained your fan always is.

Valorfall
08-05-2013, 23:22
Good good I really should get that fan fixed. . It sounds like weed wacker. I'll check out my psu in the morning. No beeps at all. Might just be drowned out by the sound of my fan.

Plus there is a safety shut down if there is no signal from the CPU fan or if the temp gets to hot which will happen quickly if the fan is not running

So figured out what's wrong with my computer the power supply fried itself and my Cpu and video card and everything that requires power. It's going to cost me more then my computers worth.

Ok so I pulled together some money and got some things fixed now I am having a problem where I have the red matrix like cubes all over my screen randomly. Only things that I've seen that cause this is data corruption, motherboard errors. I am using an older one of my motherboards I think some of the cpu pins on it might be messed up. So either I need a new motherboard or a new hard drive.

Same here that is an odd one.

My first thoughts would be mb or video card

If you're using a dedicated graphics card and your mb has an integrated one, remove the card or disable it in the BIOS and see if the problem persists.

No its a whole desktop. My old case was a hp pavillion some thing. I might be selling the parts from my old computer that aren't broken. Half of the proceeds will go to the extra life Campaign the other half will go to tournament prizes for our community.

damn, was there an airflow issue? If it got that hot you're lucky it didn't start a fire.

Yeah considering we melt our solder at about 650 degrees fahrenheit when we do repairs, but it will melt at lower temps but it was definitely damn hot

No my wife let my son wander apps our house while I was going to the store to buy some new parts for my desktop and I had taken the quad core Chip out to put new heat sink on it and he crushed some pins and he plugged it in and it automatically powered up and the electricity fused the crushed pins together.

So I got a call from the place where I ordered my computer and I guess someone messed up and put the wrong price for the computer on the site. Instead of them being dicks and trying to tell me I need to pay more they are keeping the price the same for me and thanked me for finding the error. I paid $597 and the actual price was $997.
