Don't know a lot of times policies don't kick in for 30 days....just ask when you sign up how long before it takes effect

Has to be applied for prior to the cause of loss. So in this case, no. Anything that occurs after this, yes.

What would you be making a claim on?

Unless it damages something of yours, it's really hard to follow suit with a claim when hundreds of people are affected. A claim worth anything anyways.

This would happen on Travis AFB housing regularly. Something about the lines coming in we're not good enough for the amount of houses. We were without power on Christmas Eve for over 24 hours. The base was nice enough to give those without power free nights in hotels. We went to the hotel and of course while we were there the power came back. The problem seems to have been solved here. I hope they fix things were you are. Oh and the housing office would give up to 200$ for ruined groceries. Luckily we didn't have Anything. Good luck.
I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more Tapatalk.

Man I wish! When hurricane Irene went through two years ago we were without power for almost three weeks, housing did nothing. We had a shelter on base for showers. I had to file a claim with USAA for our groceries through our renters insurance

That sucks. Ours wasn't caused by natural disaster. It was faulty equipment so I think that is why they did that. Plus all the angry dependapotomuses complaining.
