Hey guys, I've been looking all over the Internet about this and I can't seem to find a conclusive answer about how to get this done. Here is what I want to do: I'd like to make a short video of my exhaust setup using my phone, but obviously I don't want to tape the phone to the back bumper and hit record. So, I'd like to not have to use the onboard mic. I'd like to have the phone on the dash and have the mic on the rear bumper.
However, I'm having a hard time finding info about an app that allows flexibility of selecting inputs when recording video.
It's the SGS4 on AT&T so I'm running stock (F this MF3 firmware BTW!!!!!) but rooted 4.2.2. If I have to run a 10-15 foot cable for the 3.5mm port, I'm cool with that. The stuff I'm finding with my Google-fu seems to indicate people have been asking about this for a while, but I can't seem to find anything conclusive on whether or not the application layer can even do something like select the audio input while recording video....
