Just kidding. My wife loves iOS7 though, she had me install the betas on her iPad and iPhone. She says it's a big step up visually, she loves it to no end. I haven't really looked into the functional upgrades it brings, what are they?

Verizon is buying my iPhone 4S back for $200 which is what I payed for it. Don't know why they are doing that but I'm not complaining!

Iphone doesn't compete with Android. It competes with Android's RAZR, Galaxy S, HTC, etc.

This. iOS fanboys love to compare iPhones to bottom-feeding Android phones, but the truth is, that's not what those are designed for anyway. The top-tier Androids like the ones spyder mentioned are the competitors, and really in terms of specs and capabilities blow the iPhones out of the water. The only way the iPhone beats Android is if you like the ecosystem better, or the UI seems easier to you. Personally, I always found Android easier to use, and I have a lot of lower-tech friends who found Android easier than iOS too.

Since the G1 came out in 2008, there have been a lot of phones all across varying price points. By mid-2010, Android phones had caught up to iPhones

Summer 2010: iPhone 4. Droid Incredible came out earlier and was still superior
Late 2011: iPhone 4S. Galaxy S II came out earlier and was still superior. The Galaxy Nexus also provided good specs and experience. Phones such as the HTC Thunderbolt and Droid Bionic also were superior in a lot of ways, though they were disappointing in others. 4G technology has been on Android for months, but the 4S lacks it

These are not the droids you are looking for. Seriously though, my moms have two different droids ( HTC and a razr I think) both up for new contracts and both talking apple. They feel the iPhone is easier to use, they have had software and hardware issues and with having so many droids on the market tend to get confused while comparing. It should also be noted that one of my moms has MS so sometimes her mind and body don't work right but can use her iPad much easier then her droid. I personally use an IPhone5 currently but I'm not a fanboy. I compare and go with what interests me.

As long as I am all Mac at my house and in my profession, I won't use anything but an iPhone for the simple reason that I love the way it keeps everything synced up between my Mac Pro, MacBook Pro and my iPhone. And, it works perfectly all the time. I don't have to worry about different versions of the os from different phone manufacturers. The reason I moved to Apple in 2000 is still valid today. It just works.

So while Android long ago passed iOS as the most popular mobile OS, it is only recently the iPhone lost its perch as the most popular phone (the iPad is still far and away the most popular tablet).

I downloaded it wirelessly to my iPad in a little less than an hour. After the install and updating my apps which didn't take more than 5 min for something like 34 updates, I played around with it a little bit. Things I noticed were they changes a bunch of the apple apps icons, and a few changes to swapping apps. I'm not a fan of the new look. I think it looks like a child designed it with pastel crayons. Switching between apps is pretty much the same as it is on the android OS. Not sure which version but its on my Asus TF 101. Hopefully I can change the appearance a little but knowing apple ill be stuck with it. I'll let everybody know more after I play with it some more, if you're interested.

One thing I do dislike is when they change the basic way you do something. You used to swipe right to delete something like an email message in the mail app. Now you have to swipe left. I don't know how many times I continued to swipe right before I figured it out. :)

Yeah most companies are doing anytime upgrades, but there is a catch. You pay the full price of the phone over the next two years.

iOS brought a lot of features that hadn't been seen on phones for the first couple iterations. But for the last few, they've been playing catch-up with Android in a lot of areas. (To be fair, a lot of Android's latest features have been gimmicks as well as iOS's).

Considering it's mainly only Motorola phones, and only on Verizon IIRC, not as much as at could be. But some of them are pretty popular, so a decent chunk of change (I've owned 2-the original Incredible, and the first RAZR MAXX. But my next will be a Samsung)

You may need to redo some settings. Some Apps that constantly check location got reset.

I got the 5s on Friday, and I like it a lot. Camera is way better than before and I love the finger scanner, it works great. No more passwords!!!
