Yep, Camp Geiger is about a mile away from where I live... a lot of attention there these days.
I was an old 'Geiger Tiger' back a few years ago, with the 8th Marines....

I think that's awesome.
They better be ready to deal with the stress that men do

Absolutely an utterly fucking stupid idea and complete waste of money. So lets see....say this abortion goes through and wookies are integrated in to line companies. As the BN gets teep for a rotation and a few say "fuck that, this infantry stuff sucks," which it does...they get prego and are now undeployable. Now before the BN deploys, they are already understrengthed and zero unit cohesion because of the natural skaters who get out of pumps and now prego wookies. So that unit has to work harder as things will not flow well and TTPs will suffer. Now, consider this, life as a grunt sucks and when push comes to shove, being a leader or grunts, team leaders up to a platoon commander, need to be hands on when shit is on. If my Marines are not being aggressive enough, or if I need more out of them to complete an objective, I have and will go hands on. To maintain the flow of an assault I have to keep my eye and head moving and keep my guys moving up. I do that by kicking slackers in the ass and grabbing flaks and dragging them forward. Those of us who have been there know that leaders can't mix words when its on. We have to inspire by our own actions and partly by fear. That fear being the Marine's own fear of failure and letting their brothers down. If I grab a wookie by the back of the kevlar, kick her in the ass, drag her slacking ass on a hump, and berate her weakness, like I do with all my Marines who can't hack it, I only forsee this causing problems and destroying careers.
Marine/Army Infantry units in the field act like animals and no fucks are given, about anything but chow, water, fuck stories and "when can I blow shit up?" Or in combat, "can I blow this up? Can I kill this?" The military is not a social work shop....boys and girls are different. Wookies in the grunts will cause only problems. US women are not the ones of soviet russia in ww2 or current IDF. Our females have always been put on a pedestal and thats how our society is. First and foremost, they are not even held to the same standards. There will always be reservations and hesitation by Marines when dealing and training with Wookies...and that is a problem. I need hard charging, aggressive, killing machines who can hack the rigors of combat. The fucking lioness shit in IZ/AF is NOT grunt work. Assaulting the Nas, Falujjah, Helmand...etc is. Driving a truck, kicking a box, etc etc is not the same. However, the importance of those jobs are insurmountable.
Disclaimer, I had wookies. I have never met one that could hack any hardships. I've been in for about 19 years, done both air wing and infantry jobs. My experience with WMs has only been negative. I've seen Marine's careers destroyed over blatant lies and accusations from wookies. Sorry to say it, I do not see them as equals. Mainly because they do not have to comply with the standards I am held to. Upper body strength is key to the infantry. We carry our life on our backs, literally and figuratively. All I see is Marines seeing wookies get special treatment, which they already do, and getting away with day to day tasks that these Marines are held accountable for. If Private Schmuckatelly sees Pvt Splittail fall out of every hump and PT run, he knows he can't motivate her like Marines do while in the barracks.....
This is a bad idea. This CMC is Blue Falcon Actual. He needs to fuck off and take the SgtMaj with him. Its time to get my Corps back on the right path. We kill people, we are not about huggs and the "everyone gets a trophy" mentality.
End rant.

The Governments social engineering of our military continues... This is just on of the fun things to adapt to. Only a fraction of our politicians have ever been in uniform, which is a problem to start.

I completely agree with you that it is a problem that most of our politicians have never worn a uniform. I'd be happy with any uniform, even a fast food one, just so they knew what it was like to work for a paycheck.

Update:
The Marine Corps has gone to great lengths hiding identities of the first female students to attend their officer and enlisted infantry courses.
But then one of them turned up on Facebook with a bloody face in a posed photo.

via Facebook
We're not going to link to the explicit military Facebook page that posted the photo, but solid sources have verified to Business Insider that the pictured Marine is indeed one of the females attending the course.
Moreover, it looks like she has an Instagram page, which features several pictures from Infantry School and of her injury, with a note that she suffered the injury when a Kevlar helmet fell from the top of her locker.
Her social media use may show bad judgment — Marines are warned explicitly against posting photos — but, needless to say, she seems untroubled by the challenges of the course.
In January, then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta cleared women to enter combat arms job fields in the military. Since then, the Marine Corps has started a pilot program to see if women are even capable of completing the rigorous infantry training without lowering the standards — those being just the basic physical standards required of men to be infantry.
Since then, six women have failed the officer's infantry course pilot program. The Corps intends to run 100 women through the program in a year's time.
Fifteen women recently became the first trainees in the Corps' enlisted program.
Notably, if any of these women pass the course, they will not earn the infantry rating. The pilot course is simply to test if women are capable of passing existing standards.
Any women who complete the course will then go on to another job school.
So essentially, these women are doing it strictly for posterity's sake.
Finally, this image of hers loaded to a personal account sums up her experience training with the grunts:

That's interesting, nice find Brian!! Let's just say I am very happy to not be actively serving in today's Marine Corps!! Lol!!
I'm an airwinger by trade and am currently in a infantry follow on school for Marine Corps Security Forces, all the boots going through this school are worried about the females finally being able to be grunts. Non of them want it.
