I got an alert from elite today that clan names can be reserved now. Just wanted to give whoever runs the clans a heads up.

Why not just be part of the USMG clan? That way both xbox and sony players are supporting the same clan?

How is that gonna work ? The clan stats are crossed over? That is pretty cool, I just don't see how it would work. Please explain for us not so tech savvy people. Ha.....

From the looks of it, everything Elite side. So ops, the world takeover bit, all that fun stuff. Everything not specifically in-game.

That's how it's been explained. So for example even though we are all playing on different console platforms the stays for a clan op will tally to the clan bringing everything together. I'm really excited to see how this will work out

With it going across 4 platforms I wonder why they would set the max number so low

The reason it is so low, even with cross platform, is because the Elite and Clan Ops is the IW version of League Play and MLG participation. Unfortunately, I don't remember where this was talked about but they are limiting numbers to create more competition. Basically, the top teams in Elite and Clan Ops will have opportunities to get MLG points and possibly be able to play competitively. These Clan Ops and other events will theoretically be more competitive and therefor teams will keep their rosters low with the hopes that the few players they have are dominant.

Still though we hit a 100 members a few times on MW3. With 4 consoles rolling it is going to be a chore to manage the roster.

This makes no sense, given they artificially limit the number of contributors in ops. Doesnt matter if you have 6 members or 600, only the top 6 were counted. Unless they change the top 6 cap, limiting total member numbers is dumb.

So it doesn't look like Playstation and Xbox will be crossing on ELITE. I wouldn't expect them to place nice considering how intense the sells are this generation.

Check the third question in Activision's FAQ. Cross-platform Elite clan integration to include Xbox 360, Xbox 1, PS3, PS4, and PC.

Since its basically a third party stat tracking system, they don't need Sony and MS to play nice to pull this off.
