Hey gang, I was just wondering if anyone has experienced a problem I'm having with my PS3 bluetooth headset (official Sony one). Its connecting and working, however the mute button will not do anything anymore. I have deleted the profile and registered again, no help. I have tried the reset button, no help. It does work when I connect to the Mac though so I know its not a mechanical issue. Let me know if you guys know anything. I have scoured the web and I'm not really finding anything. Thanks

Well there's you're problem right there. You went PS3/Sony instead of Xbox360/Microsoft. :D
Just kidding man. It may be that the mute button itself has crapped out on you. If that's the case you may want to contact tech support because I have no idea how to fix that issue.
Like he said at first it works on his PC. I have the big sony PlayStation headset and mainly use it on PC cause PlayStation stuff can be used other places most Xbox its a chore. And I am an Xbox guy.

Yeah I know it's not mechanical...perhaps if it was a Microsoft product I could see that lol J/K. Only thing I can think of is perhaps an update fuckered it...it's been a while since I used it

I had a similar issue a while back the mute button stopped working then the game volume stuck on high and I tried everything also with no avail...... so I went to GameStop and bought another headset (Sony kind in the blue box) all I changed was the little Bluetooth stick and for some reason it worked. So something happened to the stick part. I took the headset back with the old stick and both receipts to show I bought them there , i explained what was happening then how I fixed it and the manager hooked me up and let me keep the new stick and returned all my money for the new headset and sent it back as a bad product ..So not sure if someone at your local GameStop or maybe Best Buy will do that, or even if it would fix your issue, but it worked with mine.

No answers here. Are we sure it wasn't manufactured by Microsoft?
I had one a few years ago and always had issues. My turtle beach headset crapped out awhile ago and I have been using a Motorola BT device.
