My wife has been making wreaths lately to hang on the front door, and luckily she shares my love for the Corps. She made this one with a cut up blouse I got at an army surplus store because I told it was sacrilege to cut up the ones I wore. Haha. And that is my silly daughter who just had to pose with it this morning when I snapped the picture.

The next one is going to be a scarlet and gold one with a large USMC decal in the middle. I want her to do one with the large USMC Shooting Team patch I have, but she says that one is after the general USMC one. Haha. I can't argue because she is making them, not me. Pretty cool and thought I would share.

You'll never believe where I am texting you from? FROM A MOUNTAIN, ON MY PHONE!

That looks great, and what an awesome idea lol. She could probably make some good money off the veteran mutts like us too, because I know I'd personally love one of those if it had an 82nd patch incorporated somewhere in there. Kudos to ur wife bro.

I tell her that all the time, but I think she wants to keep it as a "hobby" and something she does for fun, but I appreciate your words. I'll try to talk to her about it. Then I will have to convince her to do an Army one though, and that might be a lot tougher. Haha. All in good fun.

Now why do I want to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft? Buwahaha.

She just said she wouldn't mind. I might swing by that Army surplus store this weekend and see if I can find an 82nd patch or something. They had a ton of old Army cammies, but only two USMC ones. Apparently, the Army personnel has no qualms about giving that stuff up. Haha. I'll be touch.

Tell the wife it's no rush and I'm flattered she'd even consider it. But if she's serious, I wouldn't ask you to spend your own money. I have old fatigues with patches I could fed-ex with some dough to cover costs of materials, shipping and her time. No rush though, I appreciate the gesture.

That's awesome!!! Your wife could definitely make some cash at a craft fair or something like that, if you have them where you live.

That is definitely cool. Great work. If she ever does change her mind about making them for others, let me know. I've got an extra set of MARPATs or two and I'd also be more than willing to add some currency to cover costs and effort.

Wow! OK, that would be better. Haha, I forgot what it was like being in I guess, and having those "bad" set of cammies. Those "field" cammies. Since I spent the last few years of my time in "garrison" so to speak. I'll PM you two my address and you can ship me your old sets and patches you want. I'm sure she will accept the challenge. We both support all branches of the military. I mean, you were young when you signed up. How could you know you were joining the wrong branch from that smooth talking recruiter? Buwahaha. I used to always snatch up the Army stuff the Army Shooting Team had and my wife would ask me why I grabbed that. "To keep out of the hands of the innocent youth that doesn't know any better." Haha.
