XBONE Turtlebeach workarounds/solutions here

If you're like me, and have a house full of family and kids that make gaming without a headset impossible, then you understand the pain of not being able to use your beloved Turtlebeach(or other brand headset) with your brand new XBOX One. This thread will be for those enterprising individuals who have found workarounds for this problem, keep in mind, no matter how ghetto it may be you may be saving someones life!

My workaround was for the Turtlebeach X31 rf wireless headset. My XBONE is hooked to a sony receiver which is hooked to my tv. For 7 dollars at radio shack i purchased a PHONO/RCA adapter plugged the transmitter cables into it and then into the phono port. This effectively puts game audio over the Turtlebeach headset with the added perk of being able to further adjust the volume at the receiver. The only drawback is that there is currently no option that i have found that allows chat to go through the speakers on XBOX one (stupid i know!). So my best fix is to wear the xbox chat headset underneath the turtlebeach...works well, isn't as comfortable.....here come pics....

I am using Turtle beach x12's. My work around is that my monitor has sound output. I have a 3 piece computer speaker set (the kind with a subwoofer) hooked to the monitor. The speaker set also has an extra piece that allows you to plug in headsets or your iPod. I plugged the headset into that and then I used one of those USB adapters (like the kind you plug in your iPhone to the wall) to plug in the USB which powers the headset. Sound is awesome but like mentioned above, no chat.

I would have to use the layering solution as well if partied up.

I'm fine I have the TB earforce deltas which have a optical input... My only problem is the Bluetooth plug Won't work on the xbone controller so again.. I also have to layer.

So update, for reasons unknown, the xbone is now broadcasting chat through speakers when kinect chat is engaged. It did not do this last time I tried it. Now using the work around posted above in my last post, I can now hear game audio and chat through my turtle beach x32 and use the kinect to talk through!

Just purchased a 100% custom adapter on eBay lol I'll let you guys know how it works! Gonna have my tb deltas on by the end of the week!!!!!

Nice! Do you Know if you can get that for turtle beach too? Though mine is working now, the voice quality over the kinect can be hit or miss especially when my kids are up... Would like to be able to use the turtle beach mic for chat. If there is one for turtle beach Where'd you get it?
