Thanksgiving plans and FOOD!

What are your plans for thanksgiving and what kind of FOOOOOOOD do you expect to cook or EAT?

I'll be heading over to my parents house which is right around the corner from where i liveat.

I'm not sure what they plan to have but i know they will have turkey and taco dip (ish is bomb yo).

Outside of that, I will get to spend time with my nieces and this will be my first thanksgiving as an uncle (fucking love saying that).

Well tomorrow picking up dinner from Weagman's then I have kids on Thursday until Friday morning then the Ex and kids are going to philly with her family. I'm then going to hang out with GF and game all weekend, LOL lets not forget beer and Gin & juice!!!

I will be cooking as usual. Turkey, Ham, all the trimmings.... Watching football..... My two sons will visit with their 'flavors of the month' (girlfriends). So there will be ample opportunity to embarrass the hell out of them.
Later I will be delivering some of the left overs to the gate guards at New River Air Station and Camp Lejeune. Then out to my homeless camps to cook for those lazy bastards ( I say that jokingly). Then I was thinking of streaking the neighborhood, but no one would notice.

Well, we have my family, the wife's family, various friends without local family, and.. bear with me....my sister's platoon sergeant boyfriend's soldiers who couldn't afford to go home all coming over. It'll be football and family all day, with awesome food.

As for the food, all the traditional sides....cassarole, taters and gravy, stuffing, etc, etc. Then we've got the turkey cooking competition. Mom's baking one, I'll deep fry a second, and then either deep fry or smoke a third.

Damn Rob that taco dip sounds petty damn tasty and in my house it would probably be alllll mine. Aside from the bird we are having the traditional fixings, homemade stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy. My wife makes cheese potatoes (mashed potatoes with cheddar and cream cheese), scalloped corn (think if cream corned and corn bread had a baby) and pies...oh the wonderful pies...pumpkin, apple, and sweet potato. Also plenty of beer!!

We are going to my parents' house which is just 22 miles from us. The whole family gathers there with aunts and uncles and all. My wife's family just gets a phone call since they are 2 hours away. Haha! My wife is the cook in the family. I just put my turkey in to brine yesterday. That bad boy will sit till Wednesday soaking in those juices. We used to deep fry our turkey, but since doing the brine and oven two years ago, it is what we stick with. So we have that, a ham, my wife is doing a sweet potato casserole, artichoke balls, dressing, and three different desserts. A deep dish Mississippi mud pie. A chocolate and condensed milk pie that I can't remember the name of. And some Reese's peanut butter balls. Oh yeah.

And football on the tube, and maybe throw the pigskin in the yard with the kids.

Lets see I will be up at Tenaya Lodge to eat dinner, because my mom doesnt wanna cook I cant blame her. I plan on drinking allot and eating even more then playing some Xbox. Then heading to Fresno for Black Friday.

I'm taking my fiancée with me to my dad's family and we'll eat, play a family ultimate game, hopefully shoot some guns, and just chill.

As for food, mostly traditional, but I'm gonna make some armadillo eggs and wrap them in bacon.

I don't know, I can't decide between Taco Bell and Arby's. Just kidding, I'll have two different Thanksgivings to go. My wife's folks on Thursday and my sister's on Saturday. I'll probably be cooking a prime rib roast for my wife and I on Friday with the discount I got from the grocery store. Good food all around except for the skanky deer meat my brother-in-law will probably cook to go along with the traditional fare. Not that venison is bad, just that my brother-in-law can't cook it for shit. :)

I'm waiting to see who posts the best menu then choose a few that are somewhat close enough to crash all of their dinners. Maybe even a special trip to see if the GF Toby mentioned is GF #1,2,3,4,or 5. Maybe its all of them and if so, I'll bring the beer :)

Well my parents were supposed to come to town but that got Canx-ed. So next up we will have some neighbors over doing the classic tradition of watching Dallas dominate the Raiders and stuffing my face with Turkey, ham, cornbread stuffing and mashed potatoes.

Having thanksgiving dinner at the inlaws, baked turkey and a Boston but smoked by yours truly with all the sides and trimmings you can handle. USMG Zeebra is Coming down from SC too as we are the closest "family" he has close by and he doesn't have to spend leave to come visit, gonna be a good one!
