Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Video Output Settings > Then change the RGB Output to 'Full' instead of 'Automatic' same with ygb thing. Most newer TVs can take advantage of it, but older ones may not be able to. Some people don't like the option of 'Full'. To each, their own. Just try it on yours and if you don't like it, switch it back.
Note: These settings are TV dependent. If your TV can not handle Full, it will then crush the blacks. Test this first and decide. Most newer TV's, made within the last few years, will have the ability to display RBG Full. You may also have to adjust your Black level.
I also also use tweaktv.com to get a decent calibration settings for my tv then I use a THX DVD or Blu-ray for the optimizer in the setup section cheaper than buying a calibration disc.
