I was looking around today and saw this posted. Gamestop selling refurbished PS4 shooter bundle for $609.95. When I saw it earlier today it was showing as available, but now it is not.

Thats ridiculous. They are gonna make more than if it was new. So essentially they sold it twice. Sold it new on the 15th, gave the poor guy probably like 200 bucks then selling it again for more than retail.

I do agree with a price and demand model. BUT there is also the scalping. This shit is ridiculous. Hell, even EBay has morals and remove some of the ridiculously priced items.

I see nothing immoral with this. Granted, it's over-the-top and greedy, but jacking up the prices (to ones that people WILL PAY!) on a completely entertainment item is just capitalism. It'd be different if it was a necessity like food or water.

In short, it's their right, I support them being able to do it if they can, but I won't buy it at that price. I don't care what they do.

Correct me if I'm wrong, $399. is NEW Console retail? (so, maybe $300 imo, would be fair for a refurbished unit) - so they are schooling you for more like $140 bucks, for being impatient, and needing to get one for Christmas.

$400 for a new console, + $60 per each game for a new copy = $520. New wireless controller at another $60 = $580.00. And a year of Plus membership at $50.00 puts you at $630.

So they're knocking $20 bucks off to give you a "refurbished" version of a console thats a month old, and bundling it with 2 new games, an extra controller, and a year membership.

I gotta know where you're finding memberships and controllers for $40, and new games for $50, though. I may need to make a purchase there.

Walmart had launch titles for 50$ on Black Friday along with a couple other places. All I know is people who say they are waiting for the price of consoles etc. to drop are going to be waiting quite some time.

Well, I was guess-a-mating. I never indicated I actually researched prices. My games are still $50 or less on PS3, and PS3 controllers are $34. Did they raise the price on plus? I could have swore I paid $39.99 last year.
